Battlefield 1 installation is taking forever.

I recently purchased battlefield 1 and after 9 hours it's only on 23%. I have tried disconecting from my internet but is just says installation stopped. Is it because my internet is slow ( I didn't think so because it's an installation not a download) ?
Also will it speed up nearer the end of the installation?

On the Xbox 360 you just bought a disc and then played on it why is Xbox one different?

Battlefield 1 installation

You will need to download the full game for all of the content to be available to play. Games today are much to large to be installed primarily through disks.

Battlefield 1 installation

I bought Battlefield 1 on Gamestop and I began the installation by the blu-ray and I've downloaded 5 Gb.

How many gb I have to download before to install from the disk?

So just a disk install you are doing with BF1 on?

No redeem codes or something?

And if you bought console with BF1, it's only codes as far as I have seen?

I suppose it says how many Gigbytes are done so far, or?

Or you can go to All Settings ->Network -> and bandwidth option bottom right. It will give you statistics last 12 hours, hour by hour.

If this is a digital game then it has to download and install the game. It will also install any necessary updates. If it is a disc game it will install it from the disc and install any necessary updates. If it is a disc game you might be able to speed
it up some by putting your console in offline mode. A slow internet will definitely have an impact on the download/installation of games.

Sorry to hear it. Odds are an update is hampering the install of the game from the disc. What you should try is to disconnect the console from the internet for the duration of the disc install then reconnect for any available updates.

Most apps can be snapped by saying "Xbox, snap <app>". You can unsnap by saying "Xbox, unsnap" and resume whichever full-screen activity you had. You can switch between your snapped app and your main app by pressing the Home button twice.

Your BF4 install includes downloading an update, which will take up the bulk of the time and not reflect a high percentage of your installation percentage.

yes BF4 takes a long time to install. I think I was able to play the campaign around 10-15% or so
