Battlefield 1 insider codes have been sent out

I got my Ps4 code and Not my Xb1 code.

 

Had a few more hours on it.

I just can't get into it. As Mark said I don't think the choice of map has helped but something just feels off to me.

Definitely waiting on this one. Hoping it will have a half decent campaign but unless I hear some great things from friends etc after release I won't be bothering for the MP

Disappointed ( again I know it's a beta etc ) but was expecting/hoping to really enjoy this

the menu is like starwars battlefront, the game plays like battlefield 4, the beta map is large but also bland like the maps in starwars, it's like battlefront and battlefield had a baby but not born into royalty but as like me, common.

Was hoping for some close battles, i may now wait before purchasing to see the whole game first, made the mistake of buying starwars when that was an incomplete game.

the controls for the planes also feel clunky, don't get me wrong i know they are bi-planes of the past but they just feel off.

comparing the trailor to the game is a no go as they are completely different.

This beta compounded what I've felt for a long time now - my competitive multiplayer FPS days are well and truly over!!! Just struggled to get into it and it felt like unorganised chaos to me. Didn't enjoy the Titanfall 2 demo either.

Maybe its time to enjoy SP games I can play at my own leisure, racing games and co-op games. Leave the young 'uns with their itchy trigger fingers and matrix like reflexes to the shooters.

 

I hope there is more mp modes in the final game, but I'm thinking of canceling my pre-order and pre-order the bioshock remasters instead.

Then pick up the base game down the road or wait till it is added to EA Access.

 

^ that's pretty much what I'm planning, I've cancelled BF1, grabbed Worms WMD ( which is fantastic btw) and I'll grab Bioshock once it's out and dropped a few quid.

 

It's awesome, I thoroughly enjoyed wasting my evening on it. Downloading xb1 version as I speak, spent last night on the ps4 release since it was the only code I got. The game looks fantastic and being in a full 64 player conquest game ran smoothly. What
can I say apart from that? The game is amazing and I've ordered it.

I think that's part of the problem for me. I just don't enjoy the competitive side of FPS. For a lot it's all about K/D ratios etc. I just play for fun. Having said that though I just don't think this game was good. Again I know it's a beta but past games
were better in my opinion.

Give me a decent co-op game over a PvP any day

Shame but it's not like I haven't got other games I want this year. In one way it's done me a favour, so many games I want between now and Christmas, one or two dropping actually helps out with the time I need lol

 

I'm with most of you, I'm a huge BF fan and was sold on the Alpha, it was amazing. The Beta turned me off it completely, cancelled my pre order. The Sinai map was a terrible choice imo. I'm getting Gears 4 and Titanfall 2 and Recore, I'll put BF off for
now. The new CoD looks more appealing,,, did I just write that ?

The alpha was set in St Quenten Scar, it was an amazing map, great gameplay, there was trenches, mud everywhere open fields, buildings etc, it was fantastic, mm was fast, there seemed to be a good balance on the teams and it really had that WW1 feel imo.

Sinai was way too big a map imo. It's the biggest ever, without extra capture points. That makes it very slow and laborious as an infantry player. The map was riddled with snipers, the guns didn't feel right, mm was not as fast. It didn't have the same effect
on me. I don't expect all maps to play the same, but they have to appeal,

I may pick it up at a later date, definitely not a day one anymore,,,, sadly.

 

Even though I'm bad at this game I've really enjoyed the beta, was so addictive and fun. Can see me losing many hours to this on the multi-player.

 

@eviltedi, cheers I suspected the map was at fault, whoever decided to use that map to "showcase" their game should be made to stand in the naughty corner!

I love a BF game and still have hope for it, it just felt wrong to play and the map really irritated me. I'm still hopeful for the game overall but I need to see/play a different map or two before jumping in. For now my order is cancelled but hopefully I'll
still grab it some time.
