I'm also waiting for gameplay, it could be good if it's made by gearbox.

The characters are definitely unique and look fun to play as. The trailer seemed a bit childish to me in terms of the look of the game tho.

 

I'm not getting the style, it looks childish and somewhat cute and cudly, but at the same time it looks like it's supposed to be fierce and serious.

 

The style is awful.

It's like "Child Of Light" which everyone initially gushed over but let's face it... that game should have come with a free dress.

 

Yeah, not everyone will approve of the art style and that's fine. *cough* dull people *cough*

ANYWAY, I like the art style because I feel like a kid again! I dunno. Blood and gore don't have to be in every awesome game. The art style is unique imo.

I never had crumpets. Do they taste like anything else? Cuz they look like a biscuit had sex with an english muffin lmfao. After reading I heard that you have to get crumpets in Europe, cuz they're nothing like the imported ones, etc.? Lol, I think I need
something to eat.

After watching the trailer again, the art style doesn't seem as bad as I meant. Just that jungle scene looked like Disney copy and paste lol. Since we haven't seen gameplay, I'm still looking forward to seeing how the game is.

 

Well as much as I don't care for the style I don't really think less of anyone who enjoys it.

As I've said before, if we all liked the same things the world would be a dull place.

Nice to see us having enough choice to not be interested in some of the stuff coming out as well as really hyped up for others.

 

Marwood likes the style, for me it's different, more imaginative than your Call of Dutys, Battlefields, Titanfalls.

Unlike those games, games like Gears of War, Borderlands, Destiny, Halo, Sunset Overdrive among many. Thos have their own style and isn't just copying the human form but being imaginative!!!

 

Looks like a very promising game and fun experience

 

Excited to play the upcoming Battleborn closed test. Should be very fun to check out the characters

 

At first I thought it'd be like a TF2 clone, but actually the gameplay is pretty good, especially for a FPS MOBA in beta

 

To me, the gameplay by itself is really good so far. Of course it has its ups and downs but that's besides the point.

The overall concept of the game, to me, seems really confused. Most of the game looks colorful and kid friendly, bright colors and fun looking characters with a model style reminiscent of Torchlight. Then you play the FIRST LEVEL OF THE CAMPAIGN and Isic
--"bad guy" of the level and one of the playable characters-- says at least 6 bad words before you even get to him.

In addition to that, so far just playing multiplayer I've heard at least 4 characters unnecessarily curse; namely Montana, Oscar Mike, Whiskey Foxtrot and the (of course) big thighed, big butted, self obsessed black tomboy, Reyna. Only the s word is censored,
which is annoying.

The graphics are a bit tough to review. I'm not exactly sure if it should be good, because the game seems to be going for a kid friendly MOBA free to play type look like Gigantic, or if it should be bad because it's 60 bucks, and a new gen 60 buck game should
have more expected from it. On the former, the maps are all crisp and clear, and the character models looks pretty good. Some projectiles leave something to be desired, but it is beta, and I won't be a nitpick about things like that.

I do like how even the characters with sexualized clothing aren't TOO over sexualized, even though I'd prefer them not to be in the first place. This goes for Reyna, Thorn, Deande and Shane / Aurox. Ambra is the worst, but still isn't too bad compared to
other games. Reyna has a big butt but is still fully clothed. Deande's clothes could use an inch or two of room, but again is still fully clothed. Shane only has bandages for a top, bit it's hard to see while she's fighting. And Thorn's clothes are also tight,
but still clothed.

I really like how you actually have to AIM before letting loose all your bullets, instead of free firing like a certain game made by Treyarch. It adds a nice challenge to the game, and prevents you from getting noob killed. I also like how there are specified
sniper classes, melee classes, defender classes and the like. I really like using Marquis and more recently Phoebe.

What I don't like is the 40 SECOND RESPAWNS. I mean it DOES add another skill requirement to the game, in other words you have to be skillful and the game won't reward noobs who rush out and die every three seconds (or 43 seconds), but come on. Make the
spawn time based on how well you're doing, or how often you die. I hate going on a 9 kill streak and then having to wait 30 seconds to get back in to the action.

Another thing: the money and pack system. The fact that you buy common packs -COMMON PACKS- for 450 req points (because i can't remember the game's name for money, and I'm a halo fanatic) and the items in the pack sell for only 10... wow, Gearbox. Wow.

There also really, really, REALLY needs to be a tutorial for the gameplay, the menus and every other part of the game. It took me a long time to learn how to use my Predatory Strike, and didn't know how to use my loadout items for 6 games.

TL;DR: Great game overall. Unique gameplay with fresh challenge. Nice diversity between classes. Graphics are nice, but the feel of the game (the profanity and slightly lewd characters versus the colorful kid friendly MOBA look) don't match. Needs a tutorial,
and spawn times based on how well you're doing and how often you're dying. Pro players going on 10 kill streaks don't need to have 40 second respawns. I'd say 7.5/10, since it's in beta
