Battery indicator for xbox one controller not displaying in Windows' game bar

So, I was playing earlier and my controller finally died. Love these batteries. The issue is, I would like to know when I can unplug my controller to use bluetooth again, but the indicator is not displaying in the game bar. I assume this is because it is plugged in USB. Is there a way to see the charge level DURING the charge?

Also, I saw someone suggest using the USB cable that came with the controller, as it has a light indicator on it. I can't find my original cable, so I'm using a generic USB cable. I am able to use the controller while using this cable.

unfortunately just removing the usb cable and connecting the wireless control to the xbox, other than this way there is no other.

Well, the Xbox 360 use to show battery status when you pressed the guide button, so the most logical place to implement it, would be within the Game Bar, that's used now when you press the Guide button on the XBox One Controller.

Any indicator would at least warn you, currently if your battery is low the controller just Shuts off, no warning.

It blows my mind that wireless controller for windows is such an after thought, they would overlook something like Battery Status.

Same problem here...

Xbox x series controller with xbox wireless adapter for windows 10 version 2.

Device manager shows xinput compatible device and also at bluetooth and other devices.

There is no battery indicator shows, only at the game bar.

The game bar unfortunately only shows the words: low - medium and full and no percentage.

It's really ****.
