Battery charging icon not showing

    Battery charging icon not showing


    I'm using a Microsoft Plug and Play charging kit for my Series X, but when I plug in my controller to charge, the battery icon on the start menu doesn't change to show the battery charging. Even on the home screen it doesn't the battery charging. Especially even after I restart my Xbox. Twice. Like, I felt the controller vibrate, but for some reason, it's not showing my controller charging. Like, is this stuff normal?

    Update: I just plugged in my controller to charge, and the charging icon displayed properly on the start menu. But when I closed the menu and reopen it, the charging icon is gone again, and still shows my battery is at half-percent after an hour of charging.

    Xbox One Play and Charge Kit Not Charging

    If you plug in another micro USB cable when the Xbox One console is turned on, you can tell if the battery is charging if you press the Guide button. In the bottom right corner of the screen you'll see the little battery icon, it will do an animation showing
    the battery bar filling up repeatedly to show that it's charging.

    If you see no battery icon at all, then I believe that means that the battery isn't charging.

    The batteries that are supplied with the console are not rechargeable you will either need to buy a play and charge kit (or accessory equivalent) or AA rechargeable batteries and charge them whilst removed from the controller.

    As for the red battery icon you are correct this means the battery is about to die.

    If yes, that's correct. The only way to see the full charge / bar icon on the console is charging the batteries in the advised 4 hours

    **This 4 hours time is if you let discharge completely the battery pack.

    Guys, I found a way (but it's not pretty). You gotta use the snap app and look at the bottom right part of the screen (next to the clock) and you will see the controller's icon that shows you the current state of the batteries (charging or the remaining
    energy).

    Definitely depends on the age and usage of the batteries. If the batteries are not holding a charge they are probably going bad.
    Even after fully charging it it shows that it has a half charge or less and I got the white light indicating a fully charged battery....
