Twice my batteries have died on me without warning. I'm frustrated since it has lost a game for me. Anyway I'd like to think I am attentive and have always noticed the warning pop up in the past. I'm pretty certain the past two times no warning has popped
    up.

    Does anybody know about this?

    :)

Ring of light completely dark with contoller synced.

The "missing" Ring of Light quadrant most likely was due to your controller temporarily losing connection with your Xbox due to the low batteries. I would imagine that it will be working properly once you replace the batteries in your controller.

Note that as a warning, when your batteries are getting low, the ring of light will "spin" on the controller.

    Controller Problems

Normally I'd go to google, but having a hard time as the word Battery and Draining, just comes up with troll forums about how much bullshit it is to have batteries instead of a charge pack blah blah.

Here's the issue. My controlller (day 1) with brand new batteries is showing 3/4 full, then 5 minutes later it gives me the low battery warning, then it disconnects at random.

I had thought it was a short. I went to town on the thing (immature I know) while doing Bottles last puzzle in Banjo...fucking thing is not made for the XB controller...

Troubleshooting I put the batteries into my 2nd controller that I never use and sure as shit, same thing.

Anyone else having these disconnects or battery issues?

    Batteries Low Warning Not Showing.

Hi can you please confirm what batteries you are using in the controller and if you are using a rechargeable battery if it is the official Xbox play & charge kit?

    Thanks

    Low battery warning in Windows

    Hey there Bonta!

That's a good suggestion. I would recommend heading over to the
Xbox Feedback site and leaving the suggestion for improvement there.

    Thanks for posting! :)

    Xbox One Wireless Controller Batterystatus

Well, the Xbox 360 use to show battery status when you pressed the guide button, so the most logical place to implement it, would be within the Game Bar, that's used now when you press the Guide button on the XBox One Controller.

Any indicator would at least warn you, currently if your battery is low the controller just Shuts off, no warning.

It blows my mind that wireless controller for windows is such an after thought, they would overlook something like Battery Status.

can xbox one controller run on NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries?

Yeah I use them in the Xbox One controller. Get around 20-22 hours without the headset adapter and around 17 hours with the headset adapter plugged in. The only slight annoyance is a completely charged set will show up at like 90% capacity since it's expecting
alkaline batteries. The low battery warning is dead on. Once that shows up in 10-15 minutes my controller shuts off.
