Batman Arkham Knight's Lag Killed the Batman

Sorry to hear your still having problems, i have been playing Arkham Knight since it came out and have not had any issues, if it was a problem with the game wouldnt we all be having this trouble too?

Can you recommend a Batman title?

I played both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The one I like better was Arkham City, especially for the open world aspect. Both are very good and Rocksteady Studios did a wonderful job with the franchise. If you have the means I'd say to buy them both. Also check Batman: Arkham Knight, it's currently in development with a release planed for 2015.

 

Vaynel, I doubt my system is dying. That being said, I have installed 2 games since BAK, but the're both pre-orders (Fallout 4 and Forza Motorsport 6), so I can't really test them out.

As for this being a widespread issue, Genchy, the ONLY place I've seen similar complaints is in the preview forums, so I'm starting to wonder if it might be a byproduct of that.

Thanks for the suggestion, LostKauz. However, I'm going to finish re-installing everything to the internal HDD 1st before attempting your idea. If your idea doesn't work though, I'll probably be at my wits end.

 

Okay, so the game finally finished re-installing to the internal HDD.

I checked the DLC, but it was glitched again. It was saying that it was done at 100%, but it was not actually installed since it was not in the game and was still stuck on the queue. I went to "manage game" and installed them there, 1 by 1, rather than all
at once - that seems to have done the trick, because all but the last 1 has been installed successfully. The last one is still in the process of downloading and installing as I type this up, but I foresee no problems with it. Once that's done, I'll start up
the game and see if the lip-syncing issue is still a problem. If it is, I'll follow LostKauz's advice, as stated in the earlier posts.

For some odd reason, the Harley DLC, however, still doesn't show up for me to even try to download at all. Is there a reason for that that I'm not aware of?

 

Well, I was wrong about the DLC - it's still glitched.

That's where the bad news ends, however.

As it turns out, the DLC content that I'm having issues with isn't working because of the content itself isn't supposed to be available just yet, or something like that, and is getting worked on - all according to an XBL Support Rep. So, I went ahead and
removed those.

Now, I don't know if it's because I removed the faulty DLC or because I put the game on the internal HDD, but either way, the game is running flawlessly now, cutscenes and all.

So, now I'll be able to play the game to my hearts content!

Still no Harley DLC, though... :|

Also, I can't seem to make a certain jump on Riddler's 1st race (the long jump with the big red ramp), and can't seem to back out of it to do something else instead - so, how do I make that jump?

 

The Harley Quinn DLC is installed and works fine on my console as well as the free character skin pack. Could be the game has issues running on a external hard drive?

Glad to hear you got the game working. This game is so purdy.

 

Use the Afterburner so you are at maximum speed
then as soon as you are off the ramp press the B button to extend the bridge at the other side.

Oh, interesting... Now I'm wondering how I got that far without knowing you could do that...

 

The Riddler's challenges/races require that you activate gates and bridges etc with the B button. I soared off several times before realising. The prompt telling you is blink and you'll miss it.

 

Yeah, and that's exactly what happened - it came and went so fast, I had completely missed it. Apparently, on my 1st run through, I was so frustrated trying to figure out how to get past the 1st door, I must've done it by accident by pressing B without even
realizing it. ><

In any case, I'm progressing much further into the storyline and having an absolute blast with the game, now that it's working like it's supposed to.

SPOILER ALERT: I just got past the part that recreates the famous scene from "The Killing Joke" - now that was an absolute thrill to see!

In other slightly related (but not really) news, I reinstalled Dragon Age Inquisition from the free weekend where it was available a while back in preparation for it becoming free as part of this month's free Games with Gold promotion. I realized I still
had 4 hours of play-time still left on it, and my brother hadn't had a chance to have a go at it. The reason I'm bringing this up in this thread, is that as I watched my brother play it, he ran into numerous issues that were very reminescent of the same issues
I was having with BAK. The loading screens took forever, textures weren't loading in smoothly, people were disappearing or not talking during cutscenes, etc. It was bad. It makes me wonder if it's caused by the same thing or if it's just a coincidence... :|

 

Luved the ending. No spoilers tho, just happy with the finish...Why So Serious!...

 

Haven't gotten anywhere near beating it yet, but I am enjoying it now that it's working. I just picked up the Batgirl DLC, which is pretty good. Interestingly enough, all of the DLC that I was having issues with is no longer even listed on Live - I guess
it was a case of "released too soon" kind of things. XBL seems to be doing that a lot more lately... :|
