Batman Arkham Knights $40 season pass is a disgrace....

I never buy season passes until,they are a decent price in a sale. The prices have slowly been creeping up and it's time to vote with your wallet.

Batman Arkham Knight DLC not installing?

Sorry but the Red Hood story pack was never promised as early access for purchasing the Season Pass. However, according to Yorick who posted on the WB Games community page the Red Hood story pack would eventually come available to Season Pass holders after
its exclusivity date has expired in Aug/Sept.

This means that if you did not pre-order the game from GameStop you cannot download the content until after the exclusive period expires. Watch for them in August or September.

 

Batman: Arkham Knight

The first thing I'm going to do in "Batman: Arkham Knight" is probably the same thing I did in "Batman: Arkham City".

Wonder why no one suspects 6'7 billionaire steroid abuser is secretly the Batman.

The second thing I'm gonna do in "Batman: Arkham Knight" is ask myself...

"Hey... isn't this the same crap I did in "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City"?

U see GG we can all afford it i mean heck we all own our "own" xbox one consoles and not share. The point is Publishers shouldnt be doing this

 

Exactly, we're not all sheeple/consumers, I can afford it so I'll by it, It's misguided rewards to average developers with nothing more than $ in their eyes.

 

I had to save up to afford my consoles so not all of us can afford it.

 

Hello everyone

Given this unfortunate trend of lack of content in the core version of games, I will probably be buying more Xbox 360 games instead of Xbox One games because they (Xbox 360 games) actually has substantial content in the core game without me having to throw
extra money at developers for more content.

I have no problem with DLCs, but I do have a problem when the quality of the DLC content doesn't warrant the price that I paid for.

I remember when there was outrage at any dlc priced above 1200msp

 

^^ lol, those were the days. I'd take them days back in a heartbeat.

 

Recently Steam decided to experiment with "Pay for them MODs" and started with "Skyrim" MODs.

The Community responded by threatening to kill the people who made these MODs because they were paving the way for the end of free created content for PC games.

It got so bad that they took the "Paid for MODs" off Steam and the project is currently on hold.

Hopefully permantently.

I'm not suggesting we kill the Publishers but we can kill their ideas to charge us silly money by simply not paying for it.

 

Publishers have had a long standing cap on how much that they can charge for games, they rely heavily on DLC sales to turn in any kind of profit, especially when you have retailers selling used copies of a AAA game on launch day for $10 cheaper. My local
game shoppe even gives a higher rate incentive to buy back AAA games during the first 3 days after launch. This game has been in development for over 4 years now and has been postponed twice, or in other words, 9 months of extra development time that wasn't
initially forecast that the Publisher had to buck up for, god forbid that they try and see some return on their investment!



I bought 'MASS Effect 3' & all its Story DLC on release day and paid more than $100 total (almost double that because I own the PC versions as well) and to date have logged in 800+ hrs. on the 360 & over 150 hrs. on the PC (BioWare Social Network

believe in supporting good development and RockSteady are "money in the bank" for my investment.



Bottom Line is that if you Don't like the Price, then Don't Buy it, Simple as that. My PC was made for this game and I plan on paying for the Full Experience and considering how much that I've spent on 'MASS Effect 3', 'Arkham Knight' (and its Season Pass)
is looking like a Pretty Sweet Deal from where I'm sitting...

 

Weird,i always thought Counter Stike,Team Fortress,Portal were mods.

 

Personally I didn't understand the fuss about paid mods. Some user made content I've played has been better than official content. Some of the mods of the Elder Scroll games for example. John P's Alternate MEHEM has given Mass Effect 3 the ending it should
have had in the first place.

Why shouldn't people who put a lot of time and effort into developing content get a little something back for it.

My issue with the paid mods thing on Steam was that the split seemed very uneven, with the content maker only getting 25% of the sale price.
