Basic shooter game - Recommendations?

    Basic shooter game - Recommendations?


    I am new to Xbox and am looking for a good, but basic shooter game. I tried Halo 5 but it was WAY too complicated for me.

    I am hoping for recommendations for shooter games that are more basic, but still have good graphics. I grew up on games like Wolfenstein 3D on the PC (the original, not new versions) and Goldeneye 007 (N64).

    Is there anything at all like this, but with updated graphics for the times?

    Microsoft: Valve not an Xbox competitor.

    we have to remember that the biggest market for gaming is shooters, basically, steam box will dead on the primary market for gaming. sure it will be fine for racing games, and many RPGs, but strategy and shooters simply will be at a disadvantage, it's not
    a good idea.

    Final Fantasy. looking for an opinion.

    If you're an RPG fan then go FF series, Borderlands is an un-funny shooter with super basic RPG elements. With that sad and done, it isn't a bad game, it just trys to cover many genre's and it's really a shooter.

    I wouldnt recommend Crysis 2.The Graphics are superb but the the problem is it isnt your run of the mill shooter and may take a while to adapt to it.Also I think now the online Is basically dead.

    Cant say much for the campaign because I only did a few missions.

    Average game imo I would wait and spend on something you want.
