Bargain time

Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition is on a "free to play" weekend at the moment or you can buy the game outright for the princely sum of £4:80 (about $5).

That's dead cheap for a very good game with all the dlc if anyones interested.

New or Preowned?

Nothing wrong with pre owned games, I managed to grab all of the AC Series for less then £25 just before the summer...total bargain for what was at that time the full game series..a Bargain is a bargain. But Xmas and new year is when you will see some crazy
sales prices and there is no better time then grabbing new games on the cheap!

Im sure in a couple of weeks time Ryse will be in the bargain bins at Gamestop.

 

Bargains can be had everywhere at the moment, as it really is a buyer's market! Do believe there are digital sales ongoing through the Microsoft store, and a good number of bricks and mortar retailers are having their end of year clearance. I've just polished
off boxed copies of Wolfenstein TNO and The Old Blood (bought for $US11 a piece) and have now settled in for some prehistoric Far Cry (another $US15 for a top-tier title). No time for Middle-worth, I'm afraid!

Never finished Shadow of Mordor,think I only rented it when it came out so I've snapped this up.

I'm actually off this weekend too! I've always wanted to try this game, but haven't just wanted to buy it outright. Might give it a shot.

 

It's very good.

Quite similar to the Assassin Creed/Arkham games but the nemesis system set's it apart.

I'll have to start a new game methinks,if I go back to my save from 2 years ago I think i'll be running around like a headless chicken & getting killed to death a lot.

 

This game is a must at that price.

No-one in their right mind should moan about it being digital. Not even me. If you can't shell out a fiver for this game, and it go to the developer. You must be mad.

Loved it on PS4 and tempted to get it again on here for that price.

 

I got this and the Michone mini series for under €10.

I'll play this soon because I want to get primed up for Shadow of War on Xbox OX.

In regards to achievements for this game, are there any that you need to do multiplayer?

 

It's classed as a separate game from the base version so you can get all the achievements again .

The only one that required an online connection was to kill a chief/captain etc that had killed someone on your friends list if that makes sense.

Basically if you were on my friends list & one of the "mini bosses" had killed me it would notify you in game & you would need to kill that same "mini boss".

Not sure if that achievement is still there in the GOTY edition but to answer your question,no,there aren't any multiplayer achievements.

 

Just looked & it is still there.

It's called "Repaid in Blood".They'll pop up in game as Vendetta missions.

If you get stuck just add me as i'll no doubt get killed to death by one of them at some point & you can avenge me

Is the GotY just all the DLC? Can I just play then base game and then do that DLC or is it all mixed in from the get go?

 

All the dlc is separate missions & stuff & isn't intertwined into the base game..There's some costumes you can use in the main story & anything you earn in the dlc like weapon runes can be used in the main campaign I think.
