Bard's Tale IV Crash at start

Hello,

I installed the Game Pass PC version of Bard's Tale 4, and everything went fine. I played for several weeks. I have two monitors hooked up to my PC, and I tried to get the game to run from the other monitor from which I had been using.

Now, I can't get the game to run at all. It loads, but right after the game pass user sign-on, it immediately crashes with no error messages. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, but same problem.

If I disable the new monitor with Windows display settings, the game works fine. But now with both monitors enabled is crashes.

I went into the App Settings, and tried repair and reset. Doesn't help. It seems like its pulling my PC monitor settings back down from my account during sync, then it crashes.

Is there any way to completely reset this game?

Select the Start
button > Settings
> Accounts , then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select
Remove. Then go back to the
Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.

Hi,

the Troubleshoot doesn´t work for me.

I have win 10 and use the Xbox(beta) app.

The problem is the connection to the live service, in other games too (checked today).

Live isn´t blocked.

Only the live service is broken ...

- Updates checked

- Drivers up to date

- Firewall and Antivir (deactivated - no result)

I can start the games normaly.

If i switch to multiplayer (or after start like Bard´s Tales IV) he would connect into the live-service and i should login again.

After i tried, the error-message comes. Like: "You are unable to connect to the live-service ... Error:

0xD0000001

Thanks for updating us with your reply. When you say that you're unable to connect is this to Xbox Live or to the servers for the game specifically? At what point in the process do you receive the error code and are there any messages that come along
with it? Have you made sure that your OS has been fully updated to the latest build, as well as the drivers?

I recommend trying out the solutions available from the following support articles to see if they will help:

Install and Update drivers in Windows 10.

Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off << sometimes anti-virus programs can cause connection issues

Try this out and let us know the results.
