Barbarian vs. Monk

Since the beginning of time I've mainly used a Barbarian. The massive str combined with heavy armour, then throw in the dual swinging of axes....

Just powering through everything. Die here and there.

Now with D 3, the Monk is quite the force to be reckoned. No where near the str, but the dex can get insane. That combined with the attack speed AND the ability to essentially "teleport" to the target, then strike with blinding speed.

My first go with D 3 went right for my Barbarian. Finished up act 1 at lvl 25, just didn't move to the next town.

Gave the Monk at go. Bloody hell I was impressed. By the time I got to the next town was lvl 38 or 39 with ONE death, where my barb had several deaths along the way.

Just my 13 cents worth.

Off to create another Monk for hardcore mode...

I started as Barbarian but didn't like it,,, so now I'm a monk and much prefer it.

 

Love the Monk. My favorite move is sucking them all in with the vortex and then dropping the bell and obliterating the mob. Good stuff, great game.

 

The more I poke around and try this and that, the more I'm impressed with the Monk.

The 'lil Lass is just destroying all that stand in her way.

I still need to give all the other classes a go.

 

Add the Enchantress follower turning foes into chickens..... Bloody funny that is.
