Banned

I bought a console from the pawn shop and when i came home to play it the console was console banned i went back to the pawn shop to see if could return it and they declined. so a xbox support agent refered me to come here to get my issue resolved.

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

I don't think theirs anything you can do about that. Once a Xbox has been perma banned it's usually irreversible.

Unfortunately phone support tends to send people to the forums when they dont know what to tell you. This is a community forum. No one here can reverse console bans.

Unfortunately console bans are not reversed regardless of whether you were the original owner who caused it to be banned or not.

Can I still be banned if I purchased an Xbox console second-hand?

Yes. The warranty on a second-hand Xbox console is void, and the purchaser assumes the risk for any previous modifications or unauthorized activity. Even if the console’s ownership has changed, the console may still be subject to a ban. If you purchase a
console that has been previously banned you will not be able to connect to Xbox Live, and the ban will not be lifted as a result of the change in ownership. We recommend customers who believe they have not committed actions on the service to warrant a ban
to contact previous owners or users of the console.

Your only choice is to continue to deal with the pawn shop or chalk it up and buy another xbox that hasnt been banned.
