I swear you guys ban me again im going to playstation all because i responded to some

one talking smack with one short

message ive been on xbox live for 13 years nothing has pissed me off more than this fix your crappy ban system

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

What happens to your games if you get banned on an XB One

that is the same as it is now, if you manage to break the rules so badly its a lifetime account ban you loose everything jn that account.

for a modified console its the console that is banned, I think you have to involved in active game code hacking or account phishing or other be involved in nasty completely ruin live for others areas to get a perm ban for your actual gamer account, hey are never clear on why accounts are banned tho

It doesn't matter how a situation starts. If you respond with something that violates the code of conduct you can be suspended. Playstation had the same rules. The only difference is they don't just do communication bans, they would suspend your entire account.

That being said if you believe your suspension was made in error you can file for a case review (if the suspension is for more than 24 hours)

The enforcement team is the only ones who handle bans/suspensions and the only way to reach them is through the case review process.

 

Sorry to hear you were suspended. Unfortunately no one here can help with enforcement issues. You'll need to log in to
enforcement.xbox.com and click the hammer icon. From there you can see the reason and duration of the action as well as open a case review with the PET if available.

Just to let you know, Sony bans people just the same as Microsoft.

I own both consoles so I frequent both forums, and the PS forums have similar messages to yours "I've been banned for no reason, stop this or I'm going to.............."

The grass isn't greener on the other side and Sony definitely does ban users for communication violations.

If you follow the following simple rules you'll never get banned again.

1: Don't respond to someone who sends you messages, no matter how cool your response is

2: Block the user

3: Report the user

Easy as that.

No one in the forums has any control over your bans or suspensions, please contact the xbox enforcment team

 

It would be best if you didn't engage at all with problem players, even to defend yourself. Just report and block the player and move on.

 

Retaliation won't fix anything and just creates more hostility. The best course is to mute/block/report if needed and move on.
