    Goodday,

    I just got an message from a friend so i wanted to send something back and i figuerd out that i have a bann for standing up for myself when a player in Overwatch said: KYS you cancer player! So i replied to him: thanks braindead. It wasnt nice of me thats
    true but come on! Let people talk to you like that is not done! Then after i figuerd out that i got banned i went to the support and she said: Yeah when you say something back you can already get banned. So the bad guy can continue flaming others to death
    and I a player who stand up for myself get a bann... This is really pathetic.

    It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

    Banned.

    The problem is this it does not matter who starts the conversation if you violate the code of conduct and are reported you will get suspended.

    You will no know if the other person gets suspended or not.

    There are ways to block and mute other players on live that way you will not get messages and matched up with them again.

    So you just let other people tell you you need to kill yourself and just get it over with? This is really pathetic. You should punish the people who start to flame other people! And just saying wishing people the worst in the world is much more insulting
    then saying braindead because he said that. You have the right to say something about it when people say something like that to you, cause stuff like that can really hurt people that you guys dont bann people like them is really bad....

    If you reported them then when the enforcement team investigates that report and if that is what they said then yes they would be suspended too.

    but since you retaliated against them and they reported that you violated the code of conduct and the enforcement team investigated it and saw that you violated the code of conduct that is when your account was suspended.

    No, once an account is banned, then it is banned. banned means banned. Sorry, but you shouldn't have broken the CoC/ToS.

    What happens if I've been banned?

    Most bans occur because of unacceptable behavior or content, such as lewd player emblems. On the first offense, a player receives a temporary ban from using that feature. Subsequent offenses can lead to further temporary bans or even a permanent ban.

    The ban isn’t a message ban it’s an “account” ban, with no information to follow the ban. This is just the only cause that makes sense to me.

    An appeal would be for an account ban, not a console ban. Account bans and console bans are separate so it would be possible to have the account ban lifted if the enforcement team determined they made a mistake.
