Banned xbox account preventing me from using my computer fully

Sorry if this is not the correct place to put this but everything on here is so convoluted so i thought this would be the best place.

I originally posted this problem over on answers.microsoft and they linked me 2 options i could try and a second option was said to post here for help. The first didn't help so this is the only other option.

My original xbox live account was permanently banned in 2012 for gamerscore modification, it is linked to my microsoft account that has windows and all my purchases on it.

The problem is that because of this it is making me unable to use quite a bit of features on my computer such as groove music because it is trying to use the banned xbox account to log in since its under the same windows account. This is the error code from
groove music when it attempts to log in 0xc00d11cd (0x8015dc03).

I was hoping that there would be someway to unlink my xbox account from my Microsoft account or even delete it since i don't plan or purchasing an xbox ever again so i can finally use my computer the way it was intended.

How can I sell my xbox one account safely?

Wouldn’t sell an account like that.

Could transfer it to a younger relative or something, but for me it’d simply be impossible, because my Xbox account is my Windows account is my Skype account. I’m fully tied into the Microsoft ecosystem.

Real answer I suppose is that you could remove all payment and identification and address info, and tie it to a burner email. But there’s nothing fully “safe” about it and I think it’s a bad scene.

I see that you posted this question on the Microsoft Community forums, and see that a fellow Community Moderator has replied to your question suggesting you to create another Microsoft Account.

The Xbox Account ban should not effect your Microsoft Account - as far as I am aware. Only your Xbox Live Account, which is linked to your Microsoft Account.

I would also recommend contacting Xbox Support, as they may be able to unlink your gamertag from your Microsoft Account, which may resolve the problem. To contact them, please follow this link:

If they can't help you, they may be able to suggest someone who can. I am sorry it seams to be pass the parcel between communities. However, no one on the forums can look into your account. We, as Ambassadors are community members on the Xbox Community.
Community Moderators are only community members on the Microsoft community. The Microsoft Employees on the forums are unable to look deep into other peoples accounts because of security reasons.
