Banned without being able to use my account?

Hi. My account for xbox live was recently banned out of the blue for no reason that i can think of. I was playing with a few friends and then i got the error code saying i was permanently banned for inapropriate content or conduct. Im not sure why

You can go to enforcement.xbox.com and you may get more information there.

You can also file for a case review (appeal) while you are there and they will then take a second look at the ban.

If they determine there may have been a mistake then they will lift the ban, if they uphold the ban then that unfortunately is the final decision.

Please confirm on your account order history via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders if you have a successful/completed payment for the same amount that was charged from your bank. If you see a failed transaction, that means that Microsoft wasn't able to get your money successfully. It should have been returned or reversed to your account. Please wait couple of days for it be credited back to your account.

well i have be able to use them up until recently. even after my account was banned i was able to use them, its only just recently that i haven't been able to use them. if it was due to my account being banned i wouldn't have been able to use them up until
now.

I mean if she buys a code through mail like a prepaid code that is sent through ups I believe. Would I be able to use it? Without being banned?

A lot of that information has never been publicly noted so no one will be able to answer you 100%.

- How many accounts can set a console as Home - There is a Reddit post out there with someone who was able to set the Home for up to 33 accounts on 1 console, but others claim it's less than that.

- How many accounts can one user have - Again, no documentation so there's no way to know.

-Regarding bans - One account being banned would not ban the other accounts unless you did the same thing on the other accounts to warrant a ban. If multiple bans take place on one console, it can ban the entire console, but not necessarily all of the accounts as well. The bans should only affect being able to game on the Xbox service, but not the ability to use other Microsoft services. So as far as if your account is used for school and gaming (I assume you mean your Microsoft account), a ban on Xbox shouldn't affect the Microsoft account from being used for school.
