Banned from Xbox Live - Why?

Hello, this morning I noticed on my phone I had a new XBOX live msg and when checking it I see that I have been banned for "inappropriate" language...I do not own a mic for gaming and I do not engage in back and forth banter, I am 28 years old and play games
to relax not to get upset. I am completely confused as to how this could happen and why it happened? There is no number I can find to contact for support so I am posting here in hopes of getting an answer.

So I called 3 times, they just told me it's not their problem. (360 downloading issues)

I have just been console banned on XBL and I was wondering if a staff could please tell me why I am console banned thank you

http://enforcement.xbox.com to find out why you have been banned and to submit a case review if possible.

One of the questions it asks is

"Anyone can put a complaint against you and have your account banned"

I chose true because it is literally what happened to me and I got it wrong!!! -___- this is ridiculous

 

This just happened to me after 6 months of having the same gamertag. My handle was [Mod Removed]. Yes that's right, apparently "***" is now a swear word. Between this, their big-brother software, and "if-it-aint-broke-fit-it-anyway" attitude
i'm soooo done with msft. Playstation doesn't even charge you anything to play online, nor do they screw with your accounts.

 

It's false because anyone can file a complaint against you but you aren't actually suspended or banned unless the enforcement team discovers you have done something to violate the code of conduct/terms of service.

@BroadCalf - Playstation does charge you to play online on the PS4 and their rules are the same as Xbox. The only difference is, instead of having your gamertag changed, you would have had to create a new account since PS doesn't allow gamertag changes.

 

Calf your name was wrong from the get go. You are lucky it only took 6 months to get smacked down. The record here is 11 years and some odd months for having a naughty name tag.
