banned from xbox live for defending myself

i have been banned from xbox live til 3/11/17. i have not done anything to deserve it but defend myself. get messaged, respond, get reported. why am i getting banned for being harrassed if i am just defending myself? the questionnaire to get a case review
done on enforcement.xbox.com is stupid and i shouldnt need to answer it correctly if i literally do nothing but defend myself to cause said ban

Banned for defending myself

Someone messaged me on xbox saying that i had no life and that he was better than me and then his friend got involved and messaged me as well. Since i was camping one of them called me a girl and then i said the "c" word in a sentence not directed at him
and then him and his friend reported me and i got banned im pretty sure that this is unfair towards me since i was being harassed by 2 people and reported them both and nothing happened.

Banned for defending myself

The enforcement team will review what happened again to determine if they made a mistake with issuing the suspension. If they did, then it would be lifted. If they still determine you violated the code of conduct, the suspension will be upheld.

Sadly that's now the way it works, so the Enforcement site is your last resort to try to communicate with the XBLPET.

it doesn't matter who starts the fight if you retaliate in anyway that violates the terms of use you will also be punished

You can try submitting a case review at
http://enforcement.xbox.com but it doesn't matter how a situation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct (which you did), you can be punished.

Just to add, when someone does start calling you names and been unkind on Xbox Live. I would just report them and block them. I have seen people on Xbox who try and provoke other users in an attempt to get the person to retaliate. When they succeed, they
simply report them for communications.

Rest assured, if you reported them, then the Xbox Policy and Enforcement team will be reviewing the case submitted.

If you don’t see an appeal option then it is likely you’ll just have to wait this ban out.

Next time, it might be better to just block and report a player if they are being disrespectful.
