    Banned from matchmaking


    hi there I was just wondering if someone could contact me about a ban that I have no idea about. I was playing this morning and then all of a sudden I couldn't matchmake. Thanks in advance

    If you've been banned from matchmaking, your console and any account that has used that console will be banned from matchmaking. That's why you have to get a new account and a new XBox if you want to return to public matchmaking.

    Banned from Halo 3 Matchmaking Permanently!?

    Accounts would only be banned from matchmaking if there was a breach of Bungie's terms of use. Neither Bungie's terms of use or rules say you will be banned permanently for quitting or having a horrible internet. Quitting results in temporary bans lasting
    minutes from matchmaking (Only for Reach unless this has been extended to H3) and horrible internet is ignored completely.

    And they console ban just as heavily over there. Heck Treyarch banned any and all PS3s that had been jail broken from Black Ops matchmaking, didn't matter if they were cheating or not just straight up banned.
