Banned from communication??

I think it is just down right wrong that you can get banned from communication for EVERYONE EVEN YOUR FRIENDS!!!! recently I have gotten temporary banned from communication for a whole week . So I was playing fortnite and I'm battling this kid he kills me
with rockets that he was spamming it seemed like he had 100 ammo but after he sends me a message saying pretty much haha ur a nub with some language I read delete . Than I think about it look him up send him a message with some foul language he writes back
have fun getting banned hahaha I call him a girl and 10 minutes later I'm banned from communication even from friends are you kidding me I deleted the message he sent me which if I reported he would have got into trouble he must have deleted it to than he
reports me and I get banned are you kidding for a WHOLE WEEK. I don't get it I have my setting everything set to adult 18+ so if I'm communicated with u it should mean ur over 18 and can take some foul language and smack talk but nope I bet reported and banned
I think this is a load of crap I have been playing Xbox since I was 14 I'm 27 now that's 13 years of being on Xbox live my rep is green and not to mention this happened about two weeks ago pretty much the exact same thing and I got banned for 24 hours didn't
thi k to much I to it but now a week cause the person talks smack to me and I respond and he reports I find this pretty insulting I've been with Xbox 13+.years have never had a problem tell these last two weeks and I'm the one always getting the short end
of the stick I set my settings and communication to adult for a reason but that doesn't seem to matter anyways does it . So what do you think of this situation?.what if this happened to u how would you feel? Remember all I/you did was respond to an insult
and u get banned. Thoughts?

The problem is that YOU responded to his message and what you responded with violated the terms of use/code of conduct for xbox live which you can read
Here your best option would have been to block and mute the other player.

Even though you put in that you are over 18 in your settings that does not mean that you can violate the code of conduct xbox live is supposed to be rate E for everyone if you do report the other people the enforcement team will not let you know what their
investigation determines so you will not know if they suspended the other persons account or not.
