Banned for two weeks though did not use voice communication?

So the other day I got banned from voice communications for two weeks. I was in a part with other clan members playing Rainbow Six siege and we wound up playing against some players that accused us of hacking after we beat them. I received a message from
one player going like this:

Player: Nice hack...reported

Me: actually it wasn't

Player: yea. it was.

Me: actually it wasn't but good luck.

After that there was no more communication with them. I continued playing with my clanmmates for several more hours before going to bed. I wake up the next day to find I was communications banned. Like seriously...how does communications banning even
work any more? That was the only communication I had with said player and I get banned? I would really like some review on this because there is no way that should even warrant a communications ban.

Trash talking can be considered harassment, which is explicitly against the Xbox Code of Conduct. You were banned because you broke the rules; Xbox doesn't care WHY you broke the rules, because as far as they are concerned, you are responsible for your own
actions. The other person was trash-talking you, but you CHOSE to break the rules in response (rather than just report them and then ignore them).

Unfortunately, this is also one of those 'street lessons' that has to be learned; breaking rules because someone else did it first won't give you immunity from the consequences. Sorry about that.

Gamertag is @steveersh, i got banned for two weeks for talking trash to a kid who was talking trash first. Xbox live has become an absolute joke with this. 1. Im playing a game for kids 18 and up, its not for babies who cry to enforcement for people who
are "mean" to them. 2. I have a "Good" player rep and still get banned because one little sissy cant take being made fun of when he starts the convo. Xbox live has become a bunch of little babies crying to enforcement like its their mom just because someone
said something mean. What are those god damn losers going to go cry to someone if someone tells them to go F themselves on the street.

The enforcement team does not use the forums. You would have to go to

I do understand what you mean, but I would say not to "trash talk" or use "Profanity"

(words that may degrade, or offend one another).

I recommend you attempt to fill out another case review
since there is a 24 Hour wait period until you can fill out another case.

Also, Please do not "Name and Shame" other users on a Forum post or thread.

Here are the rules for "Xbox Forum Guidelines"

Rules you did not follow: Rule #4)
and Rule #6)

"Failure to follow these guidelines could mean some bad things and in some cases, an offense is extremely severe or high in number that it warrants further action outside the scope of a simple forum suspension. We don't like doing

For real I think everyone who reads your post is sure that you earned the ban !

How easily you're using words like [Mod Removed – Profanity] (or so) etc. isn't OK.

There is a difference between talking with your friends and the conversation online.

Hi. The only place you are able to protest a ban is on enforecement. Which you have tried. There is no other method. However I dont think you have a case. The rules are pretty clear on what is not allowed. After having just received a ban you should
have been more careful. The band get larger again next time. You need to learn not to engage with trolls. Block them, dont engage. Ultimately it is your account you are putting at risk for the sake of having the last word.
