Banned for swearing at an abusive/harassing player?

Hi,

I just got banned because I swore at a player (fair enough). My only concern is that this player was extremely abusive and harassed me for about 20 minutes. I reported him and he didnt get banned. He was calling me things such as "scum" and "trash" saying
I couldnt spell. Dont you guys think the same ban should be applied to him?

i unfairly got a communication ban

I think they do need to change the way they look at things in terms of banning pkayers because i got banned for 2 weeks for calling someone a b-word after him “harassing” me. Which i think is unfair because in party chat swearing and name calling is something
that happens no matter what.

Need a fourm Head moderator

I am looking to speak with the head person for the forums about a problem my brother has with powers to be. It seems he was harassed by another player in the topic he posted and also was not on topic when he was harassing him. Now I also read the email responce
from a moderator. and was said to be abusive. This in fact was not abusive and I belive the harassed player was friends with the moderator. The 2nd post I can understand being abusive but not the first and I belive abusive of power is here in MS. I also see
that the harassed player was not bannned either which is wrong. If i read your rules and have spoken to several
Xbox Ambassador which they informed me that not being on topic and harassing another player is terms for being banned.

As long as you reported him, the enforcement team will investigate him and take appropriate action. Just because he may not have received a suspension yet doesn't mean he won't. Not all suspensions are immediate.

It's never the best idea to retaliate as it ends up putting you just as much in the wrong. Next time just ignore, report, and move on.

The enforcement agent is explaining that your ban was justified as you used abusive language against other players. In the future, if other players are harassing you the best step would be to block or mute them instead of verbally retaliating. You can
also report these players if they are abusing the code of conduct.

Swearing =/= bullying, harassment or abuse. I swear all of the time in my daily life. I'm not using those swear word to abuse the person I am conversing with. I'm simply using them as an adjective for what I'm saying.

Hello i was banned for hassment abuse & threatening. but i did not i have a communication banned. so how could i harass someone when i dont have the feature to message people. this report happened 3 days after my communication banned. i wasnt online until
3 hours after i got notified for harassment abuse. plus theres no evidence of me abusing or threatening anyone. xbox enforcement team please review my case again

the same happened to me, i was comm banned and then a week later i was banned for harassment, abuse and threats makes no sense
