Banned For Something i didnt know was bannable

I have been banned for trying to acquire a gamertag when i didnt even know this was a bannable offense? i didnt get a warning or anything, but im banned from xbox live for 2 weeks. Alot of people buy gamertags so i thought it wasnt bannable.

Alright i need help i recently got banned for 12/31/9999 for marketplace theft i could not of steal anything because i have been hacked and recently started playing so i need help please

 

Your warning is the code of conduct/terms of service you agreed to when you signed up for Live. Accounts are non-transferable and cannot be sold over Live. People still try to do it all the time, but It's still not right.

 

I understand but shouldnt i get a warning message? 2 weeks from xbox live when i want to play destiny 2 which i just brought, i understand now what i did was wrong?

 

The enforcement team doesn't send warning messages because you agreed to the code of conduct.

 

The enforcement has no contact links? i understand what i did was wrong now but at the time i didnt know it was an offense as loads of people do it who dont get banned

 

You would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com to see about submitting a case review. That is the only way to contact them.

 

but i know what i did wrong, i dont see why it cant be undone, i wont do it again??

 

It's per what you agreed to when you signed up.

 

i understand that but a TWO week xbox live ban? not a comm ban or warning? harsh in my opinion.

 

Suspension length can vary depending on the severity of the situation and any past enforcement actions. I'm actually surprised you only got a 2 week suspension and not a permanent ban.

But it's a pretty severe issue which is why it's a longer ban.

 

You should consider yourself lucky honestly. The rule you broke usually would usually get you permanently banned so 2 weeks is a slap on the wrist considering that.
