Banned for someone bot following my account.

Hello, my gamertag is ‘papa mesha’. On January 15th 2025 I received a permanent suspension which i had no clue why because I know I had not done anything wrong. I appealed my ban saying that I didnt know what I had wrong because I had no email regarding it so of course it was denied. I then filed a complaint using the better business bureau who managed to get a Relationship Manager from customer support at microsoft to investigate my ban. Yesterday 27th January 2025 I was emailed the reason for my ban which was for “ the account was found to be manipulating follower counts using bots”. Just over 2 years ago when I was bot followed when I logged onto my xbox to see my 600+ followers were suddenly at 2000+ so I came onto microsoft support and said i was bot followed and was told if I had not done it then i have nothing to worry about. There is even other people with the same issue on here that have said the same thing and been told the same thing I was told that if you were bot then there is nothing to worry about. So how am I banned for something entirely out of my control? If you want someone banned on xbox you just find someone to bot follow an account and get them permanently banned? What kind of enforcement team even is this its useless. An automate message and a bot that doesnt even read into the ban if it did it would see that i had nothing to do with my account being bot followed and remove the bot followers at least and unban me. Its wrong to straight up ban someone with over 16+ years on their account and hundreds spent on games and content over someone just spamming bots to follow their account when that is entirely out of their control and microsoft knows this.

Yes i understand i have been banned for botted followers but what im saying I DID NOT bot the followers. People use a tool to bot follow someone’s account and the account owner pays the price for SOMEONE ELSE bot following THEIR account do you not understand how this is wrong? It is entirely out of my control i cant stop someone from spamming bots to follow my account and the enforcement team knows this. Like i could find someone to bot follow someone’s account and result in their account getting banned how is that even legal or fair? I understand there is nothing you can do to help except send the same enforcement link which doesnt do anything as my appeal was already denied but i am posting this to spread awareness to other players that may have the same issue. Microsoft need to fix this immediately it is wrong to permanently ban someone for someone else bot following their account making me lose all my games and content i have paid for and all my progress over 16+ years with 111k gamerscore.

There seems to be a misunderstanding regarding the rules. Communication with the Compliance department is strictly limited to the method specified above. Neither you nor any other user is authorized to interact with anyone in that department except through the designated link. and from here we cannot discuss whether his sanction is justified or not, he must understand that this is a forum

Sorry, as clearly stated in the official information only through the above procedure you can make an appeal if it is available to you due to the fault committed. No one in Customer Service has information about your case nor can dispute or discuss in any way whether your situation is fair or not, I hope you can understand the situation and stay within the rules of the platform
