banned for no reason?

so yesterday at 11:00 pm I I banned for no reason. I wasn't even on and i got banned for supposedly inappropriate speech? I want evidence of this and can someone explain when it says case not eligible

Suspensions are not always issued the same day as the offense. Investigations can take time so it could be for something that took place days or weeks before. The enforcement team does not use the forums so no one here would have information about your
suspension and if it's not eligible for a case review, all you can do is wait it out.

 

Anything can be possible, but to something you may be aware about doing that is wrong. I would contact Xbox Enforcement.

 

To clarify a bit on what Smwutches already said:

If someone reports something from you that is offensive, or otherwise violates the

Xbox Live Code of Conduct, the reported message, post or whatever is attached to the report as evidence. Or during a multiplayer match or partychat, if enough reports come in, an Enforcement Team member can force themselves into the game or party chat.

If they find evidence that your behavior violated the Xbox Live Code of Conduct, you will get a suspension.

Since the Enforcement Team gets thousands of reports each day, and each report is checked by a real human being (and NOT an automatic ban if so and so many people report you), it can take some time to verify a report.

So yesterday at 11:00pm an Enforcement Member had reviewed evidence of a report that was sent in earlier and was waiting in the report queue for days already, and then issued the suspension.

For privacy reasons they don't exactly tell you what caused the suspension, otherwise you could go "Oh, so the message where I told John Doe that he could [expletive here] got me banned. Just wait until I see John at school/work tomorrow. I'll [censored]
his [censored] [censored]. That'll show him to report me."

i only try to defend myself from other people being mean to me

 

I also can understand your privacy reasons but you should be allowed to see the evidence. else it wouldn't be fair(and you do say your team try and make it as fair as possible for people). another thing I'd like to say is it said customer support cannot
assist in this situation.

 

If you defend yourself with words that violate the code of conduct, you ARE violating the code of conduct, even if you do that in defense.

If you come across people that are mean to you, defend yourself by reporting them and have the Enforcement team punish them for you.

If you reply to those mean people with a message that violates the Code of Conduct, these people can report your message, and YOU are getting the suspension.

same thing, i was suspended for 7 days because of damn communications, and around that time i was playing Grand Theft Auto 5, some kid kept asking me to shut the hell up, stop cursing, he kept crying so damn much, and he wasn't even fucking playing XD, he
just sat there in his damn car, costing our match, that little bugger told me he would tell all his friends to report me, then he leaves the game, almost costing us the game, which we did lose....thats the problem about microsoft, they allow the machines to
do the work, they don't go and check it, only on certain times, and with Grand theft auto 5, everyone curses, even the damn npcs XD

 

no not always, a report must be followed in that day or when ever they check it, if it happen lets say a report was made 4 years ago, they cannot accuse or punish them from that time period, hence they fail to see, they must accept reports in a following
week, not 2, not 3, in 1 week, therefore the problem can be fixed, most of every site, to every game, or whatever has that rule, because if you don't fix the problem in that 1 week, your gonna have more reports to go and do to answer, leaving that one in the
dust for, god who knows how long

 

so even what the code of conduct says crap, you can't change a game's rule of doing what the hell fucking ever, you can't go and tell them hey, your game has a lot of nasty stuff, you can't just tell them to change it, only on Kid friendly games yeah,
but if its a damn game RATED M, NOT FOR CHILDREN, but for mature teens to adults then yeah, microsoft won't have that problem, but the children that aren't post to play it are the problem, they are they #1 source of people getting banned for saying certain
things....

 

Every enforcement report is reviewed by a real human being, and the only automation done is the queue that sorts the reports for the enforcement team members.

In Grand Theft Auto 5, NPCs curse in the game world about stuff that happens to them in the game world. It is not targeted against another player in the real world.

As soon as you, the player curse and harass another player, that is a violation of the Code of Conduct. No matter how adult or mature the game is, and no matter how much the NPCs curse.
