Banned for being racially abused

Hi!

This is my first time posting here and I've only had Xbox since December last year. (My first ever Xbox; I've been a Playstation guy my whole life).

I got banned within my first month because I didn't realise how strict the Xbox abuse system was compared to Playstation, I accepted this ban, no problem whatsoever.

However, yesterday I received a ban for saying, and I quote: "fk u" to another player. The reason I said this was because he had invited me to 3 parties and racially abused, bullied, spammed and swore at me constantly. I have recordings of him using racial
slurs against me. However, I have received a ban and he hasn't.

Whilst in one of the parties he said "I can say whatever the **** I want and I won't get banned you **** ****" and I guess he was right.

I thought I'd post here because I'm really angry at this. I think it is really unfair and something should be done.

I accept that I messed up by saying what I did but if I received a ban for that he should receive 10x what I got!

Very unhappy customer.

Racial Abuse By Gamer: [Removed]

Several times tonight I have been racially abused by this player and called a[Removed]. I have reported him and hope that he will be banned for life. His gamer score really low so I presume he has been banned before. I have reported him to Xbox Live but
that will take weeks and I will call Xbox live tomorrow and see what they have to say as this can carry a jail term.

To reiterate: The gamer [Removed]has racially abused me and possibly others.

You can't call out gamertags or post links to things containing other peoples gamertags on the forums.

 

Make sure you report offensive messages and chats or they will not get reviewed. When you report these, you will have no way of knowing what type of enforcement may be taken against the offending person. Every once in a while you may get a message from Xbox
Live saying they took action on a report, but these messages are random.

Best thing is to report and block the offenders.

 

Stop invoking the word censor in your posts. It is against Forum rules and boid will get upset with you.

 

And you definitely do not want that! Luckily, I have the keen ability to discern between ranting and abuse towards other forum members on the one hand, and a description of some off-forum situation on the other. Still and all, avoiding the filter
is probably a good idea.

To OP: An Old Freak has the right of it. Report any and all abuse you encounter on Xbox Live. I get that you don't necessarily get immediate - or any - satisfaction with a summary slap-down of some jerk, but only with multiple reports will the bad actors
be found and dealt with.
