Banned But Not Banned?

Hello, I regret to inform that I have no idea what's happening to my account. My main account gamerfreak126 on Xbox 360 has been banned for several months (since February I think). Yet, when I posted on the account bans forum I received a reply telling
me that there were no violations of the Code of Conduct for that profile, and that it shouldn't be banned.

I'm terribly confused, because when I went on the account this morning it still had the same message and would not allow me online.

The message recites as follows:



You've been suspended from Xbox Live.

You won't be able to sign in to Xbox Live

until 12/31/9999.



More information has been sent to the

email address for this Microsoft account.



Now, I could never view this "info" considering that Yahoo closed down this email due to inactivity. The email was
[Mod Removed] but it no longer exists.

So I'm having trouble understanding, if Microsoft or Enforcement Team didn't permanently ban my account without warning... who did? And how do I fix it?

so i just got off a system ban about 5. Days back. And i cant use messages or use party chat on any account. Support chat rooms have been useless they cant even tell me whats wrong. And enforcement case reviews only work if they register you have a ban.
Which i technically dont. So im coming here cuz im done with support being useless and hopefully someone higher up sees this cuz idk what to do anymore and im just about done with xbox

 

Banned but not banned

This can happen when the Enforcement is lifted.

What you need to do is remove your Account

Add or Remove a Microsoft Account on Xbox One

Power Cycle your Xbox

Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

The re-add your account.

This will force a refresh of your account on the system and you will be able to Access Gold again.

I suggest telling them your story and see if they're willing to lift the ban. Again, I am sorry about what is happening and hope they can lift it. Sorry that we can't do anything further more on our end. But anything dealing with bans and suspensions, only

They may not realize you're talking about a different account. It took me a minute to realize you were not talking about the same gamertag you're posting with since there's only 1 letter difference.

The skin of your avatar is modded on the other account. That's why it would be banned.

 

I see now, I made the same mistake as well. Modding of the avatar or any type of modification is a serious violation of the Terms Of Use and The Code Of Conduct If you ask the enforcement they will say the ban will stay as is. No one can do anything more,
just don't mod your profile, alter the game, make any type of modifications in anyway. You can view our Code Of Conduct:

I have done nothing on that list except for the avatar skin color since my favorite color is blue and blue isn't an option on the avatar customization menu. However, I was not aware that it was it was a malicious mod or worthy of a permanent ban. I had just
assumed that it was white-listed due to it's docile nature and easy accessibility/ability to remove. If I had just gotten a warning I would've removed it via the avatar customization menu within 3 minutes. A permanent ban seems unreasonable just for something
that looks nice and people compliment. I would happily switch it back to one of the default colors.

As for the gamerscore, I'm not sure why that would be a problem, but if it's seems malicious you guys could cut it in half or even remove all of it right? It really pains me to say that considering I spent over 3 years as an achievement hunter, but it's
a small sacrifice to make if I can get my account back, I've used it for over 5 years now I believe, and have spent years of time and thousands of dollars on it for games, add-ons, and just supporting the company/game devs.

As for anything else, I have NEVER stole, impersonated, or harmed anyone. I don't even know how.... I just changed my skin because a friend showed me an Xbox program where I could have any skin color, and blue's my favorite color. But like I said, I don't
even have that anymore and I could easily change it back just by going in the avatar customization menu on Xbox. So I don't think this is an un-reasonable proposal. Considering the time and money I'll never get back other wise, not to mention the people I'll
probably never meet again.

 

They don't care that you changed the color they cared that you used modding tools to do that and you did get a warning it was the code of conduct that you agreed to when you set up your

I understand this, but like I said, I didn't even know they were "modding" tools. I though it was just an extension to the Xbox. I didn't know that changing a color pallet would be offensive. You have to be realistic and think about all the other websites,
games, and companies that encourage this for variety. With all due respect, you can't blame me for something I thought was harmless and just an additional feature. I thought modding was hacking into games to cheat and get stuff without earning it or having
an unfair advantage... not this. You have to use your judgement to determine who's worthy of a ban and who has simply made a mistake due to a misunderstanding, that's the right thing to do. I fixed it already anyways. I don't know if it registered on the website
though because my account of coarse, can't go online. But I did. As for the code of conduct, that is a broad warning that I read over 5 years ago. A personal warning should have taken place after all my support I have given over the years, that would be the
sensible thing. I'm not a bad person.

 

there is no personal warnings given the ONLY warning you ever get is the code of conduct that says NO modding does not matter if it is modding a game or in your case modding your avatar skin. if you cannot choose a skin color other than the default palate
then you have to mod to do it, using a program that lets you do it so as I said it was not so much that you modded the color the problem is you used modding tools to do it. we never said you were a bad person it just stinks that due to something as small
as changing your skin color warranted a perm ban of live with no appeal or possibility of getting it reversed sorry.
