    Over the last 6 months I have provided numerous reports about the fault in Bandwidth usage stats being incorrect. I have commented on surveys "Would you recommend this update" with this being an issue. I now see other posts in the XBox answers forum asking about the same issue.

    In release notes of updates, it is never mentioned and I can't find any staff feedback that this issue is being addressed by the developers.

    Why is this being overlooked? Would appreciate some feedback and/or acknowledgment that its a known issue being fixed.

    it has been down for a few months now, the reason they have disabled it is the fact that they have reduced download speeds, they are trying to limit bandwidth usage and they cannot moderate the pictures being put up due to staff being in lockdown.

    The speed you get running the detailed diagnostics always connects to a server in Seattle no matter where you are in the word. It is not determined by DNS.

    The store downloads and updates all come from various content delivery network(CDN) servers around the world.

    The CDN you connect to is determined by your DNS.

    You can determine your actual download speed by checking the bandwidth usage in the network app. There is a stat for current usage. Just check current usage while something is downloading. If the speed is a lot lower than the speed listed in the detailed
    network stats then you are connected to a slow CDN and may benefit from changing DNS.

    If both stats are about the same the there will be no need to change DNS.
