Ban

I'm sure everyone have gotten banned at some point. You shouldn't be able to spam reports to ban someone. Calling someone trash or putting a "troll" in place definitely doesn't seem fair to be banned for already a terrible game
with someone who cannot shut ones mouth. Either way getting banned because of "toxic human beings" is unnecessary punishment.

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

Not everyone has been banned at some point. You can't spam reports to get someone banned. The enforcement team investigates every complaint they receive and will only issue a suspension if they determine you have done something to violate the code of conduct.
You can have a million reports filed against you and not get suspended.

 

In over 11 years of using Xbox Live I have never been banned.

In order to prevent being suspended, even if you are being drawn into a heated argument, keep in mind these helpful ways to prevent getting a suspension:

When someone tries to lure you into a fight or argument by sending you a troll message, DO NOT reply.

There is nothing more annoying for a troll to be ignored. If you reply with a message yourself, they enjoy your reaction, and every insult or threat you put into your message makes them happy, and also gives them a reason to report your message, which gets
you banned.

Instead of replying yourself with a message that just makes them happy that you fell for their trap, report their original message, and then bring up their profile.

On the profile page choose to block the account. Now they can't send you any messages, and they get more and more frustrated, because you seem to keep calm and unaffected by their trolling.

That way you utterly destroy them. THEY are the ones getting banned, AND they do not get the satisfaction of getting a response from you.

The only way to contact anyone that can alter suspensions (or to appeal it or ask about it) is to contact enforcement through a case review:

review your suspension must be active, have been applied within the last year and be longer than 24 hours. You may have to do a quiz on the code of conduct before you can do a case review, and if you fail you will have to wait 24 hours to try again.
