Ban modified controllers

Modded controllers aren't allowed, and if someone is using them, thats what the report button exists for. I understand that it's hard to tell whether someone is using one, but thats what we have for now.

Modifying controllers and modifying consoles are two COMPLETELY different things. The controller is modified seperately from the console. It is more difficult to edtect a modified controller than a console. However, it is possible. I'm sure that Microsoft
doesn't have software to do it, but if it is used in-game and someone files a complaint or an Xbox Staff Member see's it, they will ban them for a decided amount of time.

This is a modified controller that can get you banned if used on Xbox Live.

You probably can't see it as judging by a previous post you modify your controller and Xbox. Now aesthetically I don't have a problem with that, but modifying your console or controller to gain an advantage over other players is cheating and should be banned!

Stepto has never directly stated that unlicensed controllers will not result in a ban of some sort.

Go listen to show #331, the one from PAX 2009. 52:00 to 57:10. He never says it's not banned, he tells the question asker to see him after the show. He also never says modded controllers won't result in a ban in the clip you posted.

If it's a licensed device, it's fine. If it is not, don't use it. Datel's controllers

are not licensed. Anything that requires you to open the controller (which is most unlicensed modded controllers) is against the Terms of Use.
