bad network speed

My internet connection is horrible on my xbox ever since these last few days, on my phone it’s amazing i average around 50 mb but on my xbox i average 250 kbps i’m in the exact same location and it seems like it’s just my xbox is there anything i can do to help?

I understand you need help on your network problem.

Let's set up your Network properly on the console as this could be a factor.

Please Go to Settings:

> Network

> Network Settings

> Advanced Settings.

Select the alternate MAC address and then select delete/clear.

You must restart the console for the change to take effect.

And please do this:

Set DNS manually. To manually configure DNS settings, follow the steps below:

1.- Go to Settings

2.- Select Network

3.- Select Network Settings

4.- Select Advanced network settings.

5.- Go to DNS Servers, set it to Manual> enter 8.8.8.8 in the 'Primary' field and 8.8.4.4 in 'Secondary'

If this does not help, I would suggest resetting the console.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

If the issue still persist, I would already suggest doing port forwarding.

You will never get your max network speed 65mb download speed isnt tbat bad

Internet spedd is theoritical and based on top speed rather actual daily speeds

And you gotta Remember there is alot of gateways between you and xbox live and any download servers

In the Detailed network statistics page, it says i have 0.00 download speed. Im assuming this is a bad thing. How can i fix this???

I’m on the Xbox Series X. The issue hasn’t resolved itself. The download speed is so bad. How can my download speed go from 100-300 Mbps all the way down to 3Mbpa by switching my networks settings to automatic.

Your first misconception is that the Xbox is almost as powerful as the PS3. This is not true. It all depends on how you're loading the images. Are they on a USB stick? Network? If so, wireless or wired? Wireless will give you mediocre speeds. Wired will
still give you bad speeds. Xbox 360's SMB is kind of bad. USB storage will give you fastest loading times.
