    Bad hdmi out connection.


    My hdmi out cord fits slightly loose to the Xbox one. causing my TV to not operate properly. Audio not working screen going black. Or green with black lines. Also the kinect won't hear commands like play and pause. I called Xbox to ask for another Xbox
    cable. They said to go find one at a local retailer

    Sorry to hear about your problems. Sounds frustrating. Did you connect it straight to a tv with the supplied HDMI cable? I had some flicker issues and it was the HDMI cable. I mean it is possible you got two bad systems, but it is also possible you have a couple of crappy HDMI cables lying around your house, like I did.

    Flashing pixels (aka "snow" for old folks) on screen - storm damage?

    Have you tried checking your HDMI cables? It's possible it could be a loose connection or a bad cable. If you're connected to a switch try cutting out the middle man and putting the HDMI straight to the tv. Hope this helps!

    An obvious question but have you tried a different HDMI cable? If so I would maybe try a different type of connection (component, rca) to see if you have the same issue. Could possible be a bad HDMI port on xbox or on TV. I work technical support for
    a telecommunications company and i frequently see this sort of an issue when an hdmi cable goes bad or a port on the tv/equipment go out. Good Luck!!

    Usually damage to the HDMI port causes an inability to reliably connect at higher resolutions or do HDCP validation

    Xbox one powers on but only shows a black blank screen.

    When booting from "cold". It takes between 60 and 90 seconds for the xbox one to power up. I'd also try a different HDMI cable as there could be a loose cable/connection in there somewhere. Ultimately it could be an issue with a bad solder or something in
    the Xbox it self.

    I've had the same kind of issues with other hardware and it turned out mostly to be a bad HDMI cable, or an old HDMI cable. That's where I'd start and if it doesn't solve the issue, send in your xbox one for repair.
