Bad graphic performance on Xbox game App

Hello,

I am currently experiencing a very strange issue when playing Xbox games on my laptop.

More in detail, when I play on the Xbox game App the graphic is awful, whilst everything's fine when I play on the Xbox cloud game through Google Chrome web browser (see below picture).

These are the laptop specs:

OS--> Windows 10 version 21H2

Processor--> Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

GPU--> NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M

RAM--> 16GB

Available storage--> 302 GB

DirectX--> 12

Has anybody experinced a similar issue?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem on my Xbox Series S. On the PC, it's working fine, I've tried other monitors, other cables and ordered a new Xbox from Amazon, nothing has helped. I have a network cable connected with about 800mbps and a latency of 26ms. I also tested a mobile hotspot and had the same problems. I'm running out of ideas. Every game behaves like in DaniloD'Agostino screenshot no matter if it is 2D or 3D. What else can I do?

thanks a lot for the reply.

Unfortunately I cannot upgrade to Windows 11 as apparently my processor is not compatible.

However, I am able to reproduce the issue (gaming from GChrome works fine, whilst the bad graphic will not allow it on the Xbox App) on my wife's machine, which is running Windows 11; below are the specs

OS--> Windows 11 version 10.0.22000 build 22000

Processor--> Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz

GPU--> NVIDIA GeForce MX250

RAM--> 8GB

Available storage--> 344 GB

DirectX--> 12

Any clue on what might be causing such issue?

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! Are you able to update your computer to Windows 11 by chance?

The program is probably out of your jurisdiction, Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers works with most games, but i cant seem to get this to work with xbox app. Can you help with this.

settings - gaming - graphics look for custom options for apps - find the app you want to alter or add it to the list - select the app in the list - select options - select high performance (which will be your gpu), this will stop the game using your low powered integrated graphics.

above is for windows 11 but similar on windows 10 too.
