"Bad" games that you loved

^^ Two Worlds reminds me of the game I'm playing now. Finally got some time off work and Risen 2: Dark Waters is really a pleasant surprise. Like Two Worlds, not a lot of polish and not as good as Skyrim. Not a great game and I'm sure bad by most peoples
standards, but I'm having a lot of fun with this game...........so far.

If a game is pretty unanimously low-rated, I won't even take the time to play it.

 

^ You might be missing out on some underrated games out there! For example, Alien Rage got sub par reviews, but I thought it was great. I completed the game 3 times now!

 

According to Metacritic, most of the games I love are bad, beauty is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to JRPG...

.

 

For me it would be Too Human, Alpha Protocol, Duke Nukem Forever, (don't know if these are also considered "bad") The Godfather 2 and Two Worlds 2

Yea Homefront is a good one. I LOVED the multiplayer. The single player not so much though.

I really enjoyed Homefront too. Both the campaign and the multiplayer.

 

Homefront wasn't a bad game. It just wasn't the COD killer everyone was hoping it would be. I think COD is doing that to itself just fine now anyways.

 

Team Fortress 2 on The Orange Box. Nobody on my friends list would get it and play it with me. Also, I'm a Medal of Honor fan.

 

The Witch and the Hundred Knight got dire reviews yet I have it as my GOTY so far, it's basically a Diablo 3 clone set in a pseudo fairytale environment with a main character who is portrayed as utterly dastardly and obnoxious deviant, but despite that brief
summary the games is actually very very good.

I forgot to mention, it's Japanese to the core, hence it's unpopularity amongst a lot of western gamers...

 

For some odd reason many of my favorite games are "Hated" by critics, or at least, they got mixed reactions. I can name many of them, not in any order:

5. Extermination

6. I Am Alive

7. Simcity Societies

8. Resident Evil Dead Aim
