Bad Gamer Tag Giving to a Minor Child!!!

We bought an XBox One for our 2 sons on Christmas. They immediately changed the Microsoft assigned gamer tag (that's the first thing anyone would do). When the gamer tag they chose was in use, Microsoft gave them some suggestions.
My son decided to choose the first suggestion, which is "". Naturally, being from the US, we realized this was not a good choice. It implies that our 14 yr old son smokes pot!!!! So, being parents, we immediately try to change it, only to find
we can't without paying $9.99 since he already used the one free gamer tag to change the tag Microsoft assigned him. Now, this isn't much money, BUT using the word "baked" in a gamer tag is kind of inappropriate to many people, and especially parents in the
US. Also, Microsoft assigned the first gamer tag. He was not given the opportunity to pick a tag upon set up of the system. He chose poorly, no doubt. But it was a SUGGESTION from Microsoft!! We called support and they were no help and went as far as
to tell me this: First - "baked" was not inappropriate (maybe not in India, but in the US we all know what it means). Second: they "completely understand and sympathize, but cannot authorize another free change. Third: they changed their tune and told us
the gamer tag with the word "baked" in it was suggested because we didn't have the parental controls on yet. How in the world can they say the parental controls would have stopped that name from being a suggestion if they didn't think the name was inappropriate???
I asked if support would be willing to credit our account for the $9.99 and then we would pay to change the name. They said they have no way or authority to issue a credit. When I asked for the department that DID have the authority, they said there is
no such department and the only thing I can do is post a complaint on this forum. Great. So now we are posting this. Hopefully someone at Microsoft will help us fix this. Our son would like to connect with school friends via XBox Live but his gamer tag
will give his friends parents the impression the he is a drug user!!! We have spent over 1.5 hours on online trying to fix this between messing with our account and profile, sitting on the phone with support that can do NOTHING (and this is not the first
time Microsoft Support has been incapable of helping us), and now posting on a forum (which is a first for us as we prefer real live people). Please help.

Gamer profile issue

I have a major issue with my gamer tag, it looks like it has privacy settings of a child. Wont let me play online :-( . Anybody got any solutions, at my wits end

 

Xbox live family gold plan and MW3

I have multiple accounts on my console. Able to split screen and play MW3 with another. The Family pack allows the parent to control the child account. The parent can use custom settings to allow a minor child to play mature games but not view any
mature video. Don't know about music. Not until the child's birthdate allows them access by becoming an adult. The family pack has one parent account and three child accounts. The child accounts can be used for adult or minor children, spouse, etc. and must
be placed on one console. From there they can be moved tag and license to another console pretty much anywhere the family pack is available. Like when the child moves away he or she can take their account with them on their own console. The problem with the
child account is adding ms points via marketplace need to be purchased from the parent account and an allowance given to a child account. Some issues with Netflix and some other things I can't remember right now. At that point you can remove the child from
the family account and they can just pay for there own account and not lose their tag, license, achievement score etc.

 

Maybe its would be better and save you all the trouble and head ache to just pay the 10 dollar Gamertag change if that inappropriate gamertag is such a big deal to you. I'm very sure you can earn that 10 dollar back again in a year.

In my country Baked is such a good word, makes me think of breads and cakes. Now its getting me hungry!
