    so my xbox 360 has been sitting idle for a year or so. I fire it up today everything updates etc all good.

    scroll through some screens to remember how it all works no problems. Load halo and the controller or game is just stuck on down and right. Back to main screen no issues. Load mortal kombat and goes down and right.

    I do not have another controller to try just looking for some info before i go buy another one. I would think it would go down and right on the home screen as well but it does not.

    Thanks for reaching out to me on the forums with this situation. I understand your having issues with an Xbox 360 controller is that correct? Is there maybe a friends controller we can use to test the system? Have you tried using fresh batteries or a wired

    2 wired controllers both connecting to player 1

    try the controller in the rear USB port. if it registers correclly , the USB port is bad. if the same thing happes the controller is bad
