Bad Company 2 is FREE October 2014 games with gold

I cant join any online match. They say its connection problem but i still play even Battlefield 3 without any lag or issue.

 

Would be great but matchmaking is messed up right now and no one can seem to play any matches on line in BC2.

 

Any of you able to play Multiplayer? Really want to play multiplayer but can't get into a game..I tried every game type. four times now.

 

@mr funknuts how did you get the MP update? I know it sounds like a dumb question but did it automatically pop up when you started the game? I downloaded the VIP pass but the MP update didn't show up when I restarted the game.

 

When i started MP it prompted me to download the update, i think it was about 1.6 gb, if it didn't prompt you, go to the ingame store and you can download it from there

 

I am not seeing the MP update on the in-game store at all and I have VIP downloaded also. It also didn't prompt me to download it either. Maybe it is just a kink they need to work out. But I am glad to see this one in the Games for Gold list.

 

I used to have BFBC2 on disc and I had bought the VIP pass a long time ago. I just Downloaded the Free Version... I re downloaded my VIP pass and Onslaught mode. It does not show any of the VIP map packs available for download in the in-game store or on
the extras in Marketplace. It also prompted me to download the update for Vietnam, but I deleted it to try and fix other problems and it no longer lets me download the update again. So no VIP maps or Update. Any ideas?

 

I am having similar problems. when I downloaded it, it did not prompt me to update anything. I bought the vietnam dlc and still no update, nor tab for that part of the game. I downloaded the VIP and it lets me play by myself, but not with friends.

 

so is that what I downloaded? i saw Vietnam in the title, it was free, 1.6gb, have yet to get online, servers were down earlier and tonight it just stalled out while loading MP.....

 

Yeah the MP update says vietnam in the title, it is the vietnam maps and the 2 new mp maps, as far as i can tell the other map pack maps were versions of base maps reworked for other game modes as the game shipped with different maps for different modes.
To play vietnam you have to buy it but that just seems on be a small unlock that you download after purchase

 

Like I said earlier. It prompted me to download update the first time, I deleted it and now it won't let me download it, but the thing is I have downloaded these many times before, including the VIP map packs when I owned the game on disc, They were always
accessible through either the in game store or on Marketplace, however now the entire section in both the in game store and Marketplace is missing where the map packs and Map pack 7/Vietnam Update used to be. It gives me the M! Garand for having VIP, so where
are the maps and Update???

 

The Vietnam pack is showing that it costs 600 points or $7.49 to download...I do not think that this is the Multiplayer update that everyone is talking about. I do have VIP downloaded also.

 

The Update everyone is talking about is Map Pack 7/Vietnam Update, it is missing from in-game store and Marketplace, So are all the other Map Packs 1-6 for VIP. Not available for download Via The in-game store or Marketplace where they used to be available
previously.

 

I have update #3 and #6 and LE update. But them are old updates. NAM was a blast from the past. Glad I played yesterday. Wish I would of some how recorded the game play. Was awesome. Shame that Battlefield regressed since BC2. Kinda wished they would
of went NAM route for next game after BC2. Instead of making BF3/BF4.

I preferred the BC2 frostbite engine over BF3/BF4 engine. Lacks destruction and replay value. They feel like their not BF to me. Tuesday I got on BF4 for the first time since I bought BF4 used for Xbox1 back in late July for $22. So glad I bought it
used instead of paying $60 then gullible to waste more on premium.

I skipped premium. But any way played one game Tuesday to see the autumn update for the trees. Well joined rush late mid game. Defenders Rush. Wow I forgot how horrible the spawn points of attackers and defenders are so close. Defenders barely got
time to set up some defense counter measures.

I even spawned into a quick 5 deaths. Went 3 and 11. lol Got robbed of two kills. Still shocked I got robbed of two c4 kills. Might as well rush to the front lines as defenders and drop your pants and bend over and just take it and not ask for a common
courtesy of a reach around. I know *** well this time around i'm skipping the cops and robbers GTA5 wannabe.

 

Question: How do us poor noobs to BFBC2 utilize the games full potential without the VIP code for DLC access? No such code is available for Gold members who download this game. See on the net that folks have 'code generators' but these are notorious for
their inaccuracies and latent issues such as system corruption, game glitching/crashing and so on. Single player is good on first campaign, but will miss out on some of the games special features without a VIP code.
