I downloaded bo2 on my xbox one. i have a couple Usbs i used to store the Dlc (map packs, gun camos, etc.) on when i played the game on my 360. Is there a way to get the Dlc to work on
my xbox one if i plug in those same usbs? I plugged them in my xbox one and started the game but none of the content was there. (Also im using a new account different from my 360 account but idk if that matters since the dlc content is on the usbs )

    :)

    Hi,

Xbox 360 formatted flash drives do not work on the Xbox One console. To download these DLC's again without being charged, you need to sign in with the account you used to purchased them on your Xbox One.

    Please Help! Have a question.

the dlcs are for multiplayer, if your silver you're not going to be able to play, and when you go gold and play online, you're going to need a lot of HD space for all the DLC at least 32gb for everything installed to the HD. you can put it on a flash drive
and if you do then a 32GB USB flash drive that is USB 3.0 will be fast and its backward compatible to USB 2.0 on the xbox.

Why doesn't the maps transfer from 360 to One?

The DLC content is transferable as long as the game is backwards compatible. Sadly, since ghosts isn't yet backwards compatible the DLC isn't either :/ I agree there should be some sort of exception with DLC

Considering that Oblivion is backwards compatible, all associated DLC should also be backwards compatible.

are we allowed to use any external hd with xbox?
Yes you can. As long as it uses USB, it will work. All you will need to do is let your Xbox download the firmware onto the device.
What are you talking about?

USB storage devices are limited to 16GB in size. There is no "firmware" involved. The 360 will, by default, repartition and format a USB storage device so it is a single FAT32 volume, then place the USB Memory Unit directory/files onto the new FAT32 partition.
These files will either take up 16GB (plus a bit of reserve space), or the entire capacity of the device, whichever is smaller.

USB Memory Units are not treated the same was as a 360 HDD. No original XBOX game backwards compatibility and no support for games or DLC that require a HDD (Halo: Reach co-op) are the two big differences.

The best solution for large amounts of trusted, writable storage on the 360 continues to be the HDD. USB Memory Units are not that useful for game or large DLC installs.
