    Backwards compatible Xbox 360 game not playing on Xbox one?


    Hey!,

    I've bought a few games that where originally for the Xbox 360 but are now backwards compatible for the Xbox one.

    Games include : halo wars 1, fallout 3 game of the year edition, halo combat evolved anniversary, and halo 3 ODST.

    All of these games are listed on the backwards compatible list, however when I try playing any of these games I get a message saying "this game isn't playable here ".

    Any way to solve this problem?

    Just to clarify, you're playing Backwards compatible (Xbox 360) games on your Xbox One correct?

    BF4 Xbox One and 360 Online Crossover?

    Only backwards compatible games as far as I know

    You would need to be playing a backwards compatible 360 version of a game on the xbox one in order to play with friends who are on a 360.

    As Battlefield 4 is available on the xbox one I wouldn't think the 360 version would be made backwards compatible.

    Hi there,

    be sure to check that your console is fully updated via Settings - System - Updates

    If it is already fully updated try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait until the power supply light turns and remains orange for at least 30 seconds before powering on again:
    Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

    As an owner of an xbox one s I do play xbox 360 games with backwards compatibility. The simplest way to explain how it does this is this: the xbox one essentially opens up the xbox 360 software to be able to play the games that are backwards compatible.

    No. Xbox One games cannot be played on the 360.

    360 games can be played on the One if they are backwards compatible.
