    Backwards compatible question

I understand that if you have the games already downloaded on your 360 you'll be able to get them again on your xbox one. But let's say you want to buy a game that you do not own/haven't owned... Can I pay money for it like any other xbox one title and purchase
it to own? Kind of a silly question but wanted to make sure... Also, these 360 games will be available digitally in the marketplace and I won't NEED the disc copy, right?

    :)

Yes, there is cross chat between the Xbox One and the 360. When you run a 360 game on the Xbox One it functions exactly like a 360. It even has the guide menu for messaging, inviting to party etc.

  4. Backwards compatible question

    Hi,

Not all 360 games are backward compatible as of the moment, as there are limitations on what games they can bring, etc... However, they are listening to player feedback and are planning on implementing popular and most played games. You may view this

    page
for more understanding of the newly introduced feature. As of the moment, only preview members have access to this feature, however it is set to release for all Xbox One members by 2015 fall.

If you do not own the games currently available for backward compatibility, then you may buy that game digitally or a physical disc copy of the game - where you will then download it again on your Xbox One and play it. If you've bought a disc, then it will
also work in the same way, insert the disc on your Xbox One, and install it - then play it. However, please note that not all games are available for backward compatibility as mentioned above.

You may vote for games via the
    Xbox Feedback site
, although this may not guarantee a chance for the game to be featured in the catalogue, it gives the Xbox team an understanding of what games are most played, and vice versa.

As the feature is yet to be released. I'm assuming they may make a few changes in accordance to player feedback from the Preview Program.

    You could also watch this
    video
on Xbox Wire, which clears up a few questions you maybe asking.

    I hope this helped!

    Hi,

You will need to make sure that the games in question are on the backwards compatibility list of games. Unfortunately not all games are backwards compatible.

This is a great question! To answer your question any game listed on the Backwards compatible list will work on the xbox one you can find that list here

    www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility
In your situation you have to have the exact game on that list your best bet is to reach out to the game developer and let them know you want it backwards compatible. They don't know unless people like you tell them.

    Thanks for your question.
