Backwards Compatible Games Won't Connect to Xbox Live

I was trying to play Call of Duty: World at War and it said that I couldnt connect to xbox live. So i went to test connection and it said it was fine. I then tried playinf Black ops 1 and Fall Out 3, also backwards compatible, and the same thing happened.
I then tested a xbox one game and xbox live worked perfectly fine. Xbox live was only working for Xbox One games and not backwords compatible 360 games.

I have I tired deleting and redownloading my Xbox One profile and I deleted my 360 cache on the One as well. Now when I try to download my 360 profile it just gives me the 8007007A code!

My 360 account isn't working on my actual 360 either. My account works

fine on my One but I get that 8007007A error code whenever I try to

You're not the only one- Just got off a Hour and 1/2 call with Xbox Customer Service. The guy was great and I didn't realize that all that time went by but unfortunately he wasn't able to fix the issue.

 

Alright so when you go to play your Xbox 360 game on the Xbox one, notice it gives you a notification basically saying you cannot sign in on this console. It should then ask you to sign in or "choose a profile" and it should have a list of every single profile
on your system. However, the very last option should be "download profile". Now, I know this may seem like a weird way to fix the problem, but I want you to redownload your profile even if its already there. Just redownload your profile and sign in. If it
does not work (which it should), then delete your profile from the system entirely and then redownload it. Hope that helps. :] happy gaming!

 

I am having the same problem and i cant download the profile. i even did a reset on my console but still wont work for backwards compatibility.

 

I'm having sort of the same issue. I can get on live, but the game will start but I'll be stuck on the setting up game... screen. It's making me upset.

 

You may need to redownload your profile onto the Xbox One. If you have two step authentication enabled on your Microsoft Account, or have required that your profile be downloaded on all consoles, you may run into trouble when trying to play Xbox 360 games
on Xbox One.

First of all, login to your Microsoft Account on the Xbox website and navigate to this page:

live.xbox.com/.../Protection

Check to see whether your consoles require the profile to be redownloaded.

If you have a password greater than 16 characters, or have two step authentication enabled, go to the following link:

account.live.com/.../AppPassword

This will generate an app password for you to use to log in on Xbox 360. Once you have this password, follow these instructions to download your profile again.

From the Xbox 360, press the View and Menu buttons together on your controller to bring up the Xbox 360 Guide.

Press X on your controller to sign on. Now, select Sign in and instead of selecting one of the profiles shown, instead select Download profile.

Log in with your Microsoft Account email address and the app password generated for you (or your actual password if you do not have two step authentication enabled and your password is less than 16 characters in length).

Depending on how big your profile is, it may take some time to download. Once the download is complete, you should be able to enjoy all of your compatible Xbox 360 games on Xbox One without having to repeat this process again.

Please note, you may have to download your profile again after changing the password for your Microsoft Account, or if you add or remove two step authentication.

I tried but still the same.

 

Similar problem a lot more frequently recently. I'm getting disconnected from Xbox LIVE on a backwards compatible game on the One and it immediately tells me it cannot connect when I try again. But when I back out to the Xbox One dash it's all still perfectly
fine there. I have to quit the game for several min. then log back into it for it to fix, but this is kicking me off every 30 min. or so now. It was very rare until yesterday.

Actually had this happen to me with a few games.

What I had to do was go into the Xbox one settings and delete all persistent storage.

Deleting and re-downloading my profile several times didn't do it.
