  1. Backwards compatible games requiring re-purchase on Xbox One?

I know that I've probably spent like 100-250$ on digital games that might've all been on sale for anywhere from 2$ to 10$, so you can imagine I've bought a lot of cheap digital titles and I remember back when Xbox players were slowly switching from 360 to
ONE a lot of games were suddenly unplayable and required a re-purchase and "game license has expired" was a common thing to read for them. I kinda just let it be and accepted the loss which was probably stupid looking back, and probably lost me two or three
dozen games for no reason, but I can prove that I have purchased the gamecube Resident Evil and Sonic Adventure DX on the 360, both games of which are available on the ONE store, but I have to purchase again?

How should I address this to possibly have these games added to my account? I can provide the order #s, the dates of purchase, etc... from my order history list off of my account.

I got it in my brain to ask today because I just wanted to play the game Zuma which is also on the ONE but I somehow need to re-purchase that again as well? I KNOW without a doubt that I'd played it on my 360 and unlocked achievements for it and yet the
game is not on my Xbox One achievements list (come to think of it, I also know that I had all of the achievements for Call Of Duty 4 and that's also not on my achievements game list? If I had good memory I could probably think of other games that aren't there
but.. Those two I know for sure are missing..)?

Even stranger and more frustrating is that Zuma show up in my order history, so I can't really argue for that game although if I took a lie detector test I would pass that I bought the damn game. It's a 5$ game and if I have to I'll buy it again but I'm
not going to lie that it's really frustrating that a game here and there just has to be purchased again, considering this issue has probably happened for a dozen games or more for me. Seems fishy.

    :)

    backwards compatibility issue

    Hi there,

any content that is backwards compatible and purchased digitally with your Xbox Live Account should be visible in the Ready to Install section on the Xbox One.

If the game was purchased with a different account, then that account will be required to download the game. See this link for more questions and answers regarding Backward compatibility:

Backwards compatible games requiring re-purchase on Xbox One?

Changing your email wouldn't disassociate your account from your achievements or purchases. Perhaps the games were purchased on a different account though. On the 360 if a game was downloaded directly to the console (even if purchased by a different gamertag)
then the game would be playable by all gamertags on that console.

As for the achievements please try launching a backwards compatible game then follow the instructions in the video below to delete then redownload your tag via the backwards compatible menu. After that, play a BC title and earn an achievement. Hopefully
within a couple of weeks after that any older 360 achievements should show up in your account.

Backwards compatible games requiring re-purchase on Xbox One?

Nope, had the same account since I had my 360. Never changed my gamertag once.

If I changed the e-mail associated with the Gamertag, does that actually change the achievements and games associated somehow? Or is the account really the Gamertag and not the e-mail? I believe that I did change the e-mail because I no longer had access
to it. Could that have unfortunately screwed it up? If not, seems like something is wrong. Because I could probably boot up my 360 and the Resident Evil remake will probably be on it, and I actually do have it in my achievements list, but it says I have to
buy it again... What's up with that? Definitely don't have a disc of that, it was digital only.

Backwards compatible games requiring re-purchase on Xbox One?

    Hi,

All of the games you purchased previously for Xbox 360 and are
    Backwards compatible
should show on your account. If a digital Xbox 360 game you owned digitally is not on the BC list it won't show as available to download.

If your achievements for a game are not showing on your account then you must have played it using a different account. Same would be true for a purchased game. If it's not there you probably bought it with either a different account or you had the disc
    version of the game.

XBox 360 Spiele auf der XBox One?

    Hi there,

there is a (growing) selection of Xbox 360 games that are supported on the Xbox One, which can be found here:

    https://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility

Alongside with some other details and limitations/requirements to the backwards compatibility

Keep in mind that any 360 games that require an accessory, like the Kinect, will not be backwards compatible.
