Backwards compatible games problem

Hey, I've never used this forums before so hopefully I'm in the right area.

My girlfriend just got off the phone with a Microsoft employee regarding an issue with her when trying to dl a bc game. The phone call took around an hour and resolved nothing so I decided to post the issue here.

She just got xbox live gold on her xbox one and wanted to dl the force unleashed due to it being the free game offered this week. She clicked "see price" which brought her to the screen saying it's free, then hit continue. On the next screen it said she
didn't have a credit card and needed one to proceed. She hit the link from that screen and added her info. Even though it shows up under her billing options on her xbox one it does not show up when she tries to purchase the free game.

The MS employee had her reset her xbox numerous times, remove and readd the cc info on both ends, tried a hard reset etc. None of that basic stuff worked. We have no idea why it won't reflect on the 360 side when trying to dp games but it's not just the
star wars game it's all 360 bc games not showing her card option.

At the end of the phone call the "tech" said she has to buy an xbox 360....in order to play the games on her xbox one.

This makes absolutely no sense. How is this a viable solution? I've dl'd plenty of 360 bc games on my xbox one that I've never played before on my account nor back when I had a 360.

We tried to get a supervisor and the "tech" didn't seem to want to get us one. Finally they said that one would call back sometime...

If anyone has ever ran into this or knows a number to talk to a real tech person and not just a basic csr please let us know.

problems downloading a profile for backward compatibility

nearly a month ago had this problem, I wanted to download my profile for backwards compatible Xbox 360 games and I can not, I have no profile to play backward compatible games, and less play online please help !!!!

I'm having the exact same problem. All of my backwards compatible games are effected.

 

Has she tried downloading it through website? Has she ever used her account on a 360?

As Smwutches mentioned, has she ever used her account on an Xbox 360 console or tried to download through the website? Does she have a paid subscription or does she have an Xbox Live Gold Trial currently? Have you tried to add a PayPal account to her account
to see if that resolves the issue? Also would it be possible for her to post on the forums here so we know the Gamertag having the issue and can take a closer look?
