Backwards Compatible Games not working

So yesterday I bought a brand new Xbox One X Gears 5 limited edition console and went to play the Gears of War 2 digital copy that came with the console which once downloaded and when selected instantly booted the error message “Please try again. Sorry,
that did not work for some reason (0x80070002)” this error shows for every original xbox and 360 digital game I own even the ones on Gamepass do not work. So I tried my physical disc copy of Gears of War 2 which when selected to install disc instantly gave
the error message “this game is not playable here. For a list of Xbox 360 games playable on xbox one, go to xbox.com/backcompat. (8x8082000c)” this error shows for every original xbox and 360 disc I tried. Each of the discs work fine on my 360 they were Fable
2, 3, Skate just to name a few all of which are backwards compatible and some x enhanced but they wont work on the console. So I exchanged the console for the same thing only to have the same problem come up again. Backwards compatibility is totally absent
from the console but what confuses me the most is this is the second console and it’s having the same issue. I’ve tried multiple factory resets, unplugging and waiting, changing boot mode to power saving, trying connection with and without an ethernet cord,
changing the dns setting, changing alternate mac address, clearing the xbox 360 storage, attempting to boot the 360 menu during loading which wouldn’t work as the error message would instantly come up. Dvd and blu ray movies play fine so do digital xbox one
games but no backwards compatible game work. Even tried a different account using the same discs but the same issue would happen. I’ve already talked with a xbox customer service employee on the phone that’s also confused by the problem that said I’ll get
an email in the future about the problem. I have a big library of old games and I just wish they worked on my xbox one x. If anyone else is having this issue and can offer advice please share.
