Backwards compatible games and multiplayer

Discus and support Backwards compatible games and multiplayer in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Is 4 player local multiplayer not available for the backward compatible games?     Backwards compatible games and multiplayer


    Is 4 player local multiplayer not available for the backward compatible games? Tried 4 people for Castle Crashers, and LFD2. Not sure if it's me or not. Thanks.

    Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising - online ?

    It was free with games with gold and backward compatible but didn't try multiplayer. I went solo.

    local multiplayer on 360 digital downloads

    You will need to have two distinct profiles signed in to play backwards compatible games on local multiplayer. No guests.

    Backwards compatible games and multiplayer

    I was able to get castle crashers local multiplayer to work; however, I had to create an account on the xbox one and then I used the second controller to go to the menu, (pause and select at the same time) and download the new profile to be the second player
    before it let me play. So it seems like you need to have all players accounts downloaded through the 360 menu (launch 360 game then use pause and select combo) to be able to play with them.

    4 player MP is available for backward compatible games but remember that any sign-in must be done in the Xbox 360 emulated menu, NOT Xbox One. Guess that would be the issue. Unless those games don't have 4 co-op, or unless I have really no other idea to
    suggest Backwards compatible games and multiplayer :)

    I'm surprised that backwards compatibility doesn't have more votes. I'd like to see backwards compatibility, or at the least the ability to play multiplayer with friends playing the same game on Xbox 360 :)

    you may be trying to download the modern xbox one multiplayer game instead of the original xbox backward compatible game.
