Backwards Compatible Game Can’t Download Profile

Recently had to reset my Xbox, kept my games and when I tried to play Fallout New Vegas it prompted me to download my profile. When I tried to download it it gave me an error which stated it couldn’t connect to Xbox live. It prompted me to test my connection and when I did it said everything would be fine. This leaves me unable to access my save games and unable to play.

To be honest, in most cases, it has something to do with the network. You might want to test it again using a different hotspot.

Solution 1. Power cycle your console

Please Turn off console > (press and hold power button for 10 seconds) unplug everything from the console > wait for 2 minutes and plug everything back > Turn On the console.

Solution 2. I know your internet is working fine with other devices but for us to best isolate the issue, can you try connecting the console to a different network? A mobile hotspot for example?

Solution 3. Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System > Settings > System > Storage, and then select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

The 3rd solution worked however I still cannot connect to Xbox Live through the back words compatible game. I tried using a different network but this hasn’t changed anything and it still gives the same error.
