Backwards Compatible Fallout 3 GOTY DLC Isnt Working When Trying To Play

Fallout 3 itself works just fine, but when I try loading the game with it's DLC it doesn't register that I have the DLC. I don't own the DLC digitally, i'm installing through the DLC disc. I'm not sure what the problem is, but when I load into the
game, it says I don't have the DLC, it removes all of my DLC gear, and it spawns me at Vault 101. Anyone know how to fix it?

Fallout 3 GOTY

I have bought Fallout 3 GOTY. On the case it says xbox one & 360 compatible. I've put both discs in and get the same error (not backwards compatible). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Fallout 3 GOTY and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition DLC discs.

I recently noticed that both Fallout 3 and New Vegas are on the Backwards Compatible list for Xbox One. However since I didn't buy the DLC through the Xbox Store and instead bought the games in the GOTY for Fallout 3 and Ultimate Edition for New Vegas,
can the discs with all the DLC be put into the console to load it or am I forced to buy this content from the store.

I'm having a similar issue, I started the game all over because I didn't feel like sending my cloud save. I downloaded all of the DLCs and it says I have them installed, yet the actual game doesnt acknowledge that. Very weird indeed.

Backwards Compatibility only works on the Standard edition of games so if you are trying to play a deluxe or GOTY edition which includes DLC then you will get that error

If you have the GOTY edition, you shouldn't need the DLC disc. Manage your Fallout 3 game and see if the DLC's are available to download from there.

Here's the current list of games that are available for backwards compatibility. Alien Isolation is already available on Xbox One so I'm not sure if they will make it backwards compatible.
