Backwards compatible 360 discs and dvd are not reading

Yes they are compatible it black ops and black ops 2 both brand new disc and work in a 360 just fine my xbox one reads and plays all xbox one disc and blu Ray's and 4k movies but will not read or play dvd movies or 360 backward compatible games I've done
system updates online and offline updates I've soft reset and hard reset and I've factory reset also and have no luck dont understand why it can read all disc except dvd and 360

Is this an Xbox 360 disc?

If it is there are two possibilities here.

1. Your disc is dirty or damaged/scratched
   
2. The Blu-ray drive in your console has developed a hardware fault reading DVD discs.
   

You can test the second theory be either trying another backwards compatible disc or DVD movie (not an Xbox One disc or Blu-ray movie).

If your console can read Xbox One discs but not 360 or DVD's it means your console is faulty.

Then I would suggest to get ahold of another backward compatible disc or any game disc really and try to see if you can download it. Preferably a 360 backwards compatible game or maybe a movie in DVD format. This is troubleshooting to test your optical disc
drive because based on the troubleshooting you've done, it seems to be narrowing down to a hardware issue with reading DVD's. If DVD's don't work maybe try a Blu-ray to further narrow the issue down.

It's not been removed from backwards compatibility. I would say the reason why your console is displaying this error is because it can't read this particular disc. Do you have any other Xbox 360 game discs to test on your Xbox One? If you do, are they
working?

When you insert a backwards compatible Xbox 360 game disc into your Xbox One, the console will read the disc to see what's there. If your console can't read the disc it will display this message. For disc based games you must be connected to Xbox Live
as the game will need to be downloaded for you to play it.

Things to try

Verify your console can still read Xbox 360 discs.

If you don't have any other BC 360 games on disc, try a DVD movie. Make sure the disc you try is a DVD movie disc not a Blu-ray disc. If other Xbox 360 games disc work or a DVD movie, it's likely the fault lies with the disc and not the console.

Check the discs for scratches or dirty smudges. Try cleaning the disc with some water and soft towel

One solution I can think of involves turning the "Instant-On" mode off (switching to "Energy-saver" instead), and power cycle your Xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds (until it turns off completely), turn it back on again, and check if it can
read DVDs now.

I don't know if your support calls have already covered this, but worst case scenario may involve sending your console in for a repair.
