clear the xbox 360 cache on your xbox one and then it will restart, open the 360 game and let it pull the profile back down and it should work.

I recommend a soft factory reset. It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Once you have determined that your network is set up good on your Xbox One (connected with an open NAT type) and that you have the sign-in info for any important gamertag (as you-ll have to redownload them), follow the steps here
on How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One, select the option denoted reset
and keep my games & apps and let us know how that helps with the issue.

As mentioned above there will be no more backwards compatibilty for the One. They are focusing on Scarlett so it may be backwards compatible there.

Yeah, the backward compatibilty program ended a few years back.
